Did Giovinco play that badly yesterday? I really don't think so. Like I said in a long post some time ago, his problem is psychological. In recent U-21 games, he always played quite selfish (too much dribbling and all that kind of stuff), but that's not his playing style as I have seen him play differently in other games.

I noticed that he was very nerverous yesterday and I think he was too eager to prove himself but did it in a wrong way. So mentally he isn't mature and needs to learn and grow.

Also he lacks the ability to decide a game. He is not a "goleador" (someone we can score many goals as Del Piero). One thing he should improve is his shooting and finishing considering it would be far more difficult for him to improve the defensive skills. The achivement of football is, after all, to put the ball in the net and win the game. Giovinco is good at dribbling, connecting and passing, but if the whole team, especially the finishers are not in form, his indecisiveness in finishing would be noted as in a moment when the whole team is bad, he can't lead the team into victory alone as the likes of Del Piero, Roberto Baggio, Kaka and etc, who always score important goals in difficult times.

he was not bad, but was not good either ... it was a mediocre giovinco performance, while i have seen him better in other games, but yes he is also dependent on his teammates

Juventus starlet Sebastian Giovinco could leave Turin on loan in January with several overseas sides said to be interested. :(

The diminutive playmaker is seen by many as one of Italy's brightest rising stars.

However, Giovinco has failed to secure regular first-team football this term and reports suggest he has become frustrated at his inactivity.

The Juve youth product impressed on loan at Empoli last term and could be farmed out again to gain experience elsewhere.

Reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Spanish sides Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are eyeing a loan deal along with Gianfranco Zola's West Ham United.

West Ham are seen as the favourites to land Seba should Juve let him leave on a temporary basis because Zola worked with the Atomic Ant for two years in the Azzurrini set-up.

However, Giovinco is expected to play against Zenit St Petersburg tonight and Claudio Ranieri may be reluctant to let him leave.

i think he looked out of place today ... nedved was so kind to give him the ball a few times but he really did not know what to do ...

the scenes we have in mind, when gio does go around defenders with ease (which we know from the azzurrini) don't happen on the big stage ... there is always someone who is able toe tackle the ball away from him, when he tries to run past the defender ...

another thing is, that he does not know a shit about how the other players run ... it will not get better without playing consistently with the first squad players, but there was one pass where he had a bit of time to chose where to pass and he completely passed towards the russian defender where no one of us was running or standing ...

i'm sad for him ... lets hope for the coppa

We played a match that was of no real importance and he still can't get a start,

the third from bottom team are coming to town this weekend and there's a 99% chance Gio will play from the 88th minute onwards

whats the point of having players with potential and not playing them
