I wouldn't give up all hope on him returning to Juve. Parma obviously want to take up their option for half his registration, but its up to Giovinco essentially, not just Parma. If we act swiftly in terms of appointing a proper manager, who has followed us this season, and also has knowledge of the other players we own, who are out on loan, or co-owned and playing elsewhere, then its logical for him, the new Boss, to have a chat with giovinco. Let's say its Didier...wishful thinking, but still possible. if didier calls sebastian, tells him he wants him..then it would be likely than the talented imp would thank parma for their hospitality and run back to turin into didier's frog arms.
His goal was wickedly taken, and illustrated so much of our many problems. Complete ineptitude at fullback, 2 players literally standing off him, a third had not the time to close him down...and giovinco himself, explosive shooting, dribbling past players...speedy. It made me feel sorry for DP, to see all our hopes of salavaging a draw hinge upon a 37 year old winning free kicks around the box.
His form at parma has been steady, often wicked, but unsurprising really. At worst...we lose half of him for 3m(the set option). then parma want to sell him to a better club for much more than 6m, lets say 10m...so we end up pocketing another 5m...so 1m for the loan, 3m for one half, 5m for the other hald...not a complete loss. But I would prefer the player himself to be given a season at Juve, under a proper manager. speed, invention, dribbling, flair...everything we lack in ONE offensive player.
