It's frustrating when you have such a talent and you insist on not giving him the chance to show what he's able to do!!!!
Yeah I know man. We had 3 different coaches and he barely got a chance to play when others "less" talented then him in that position played more.

I just find it pointless to keep saying all this anymore, everyone knows he has the talent and with playing time he can only get better. So that's why I let myself believe that there must be something that we don't know about him.

I think that in a way, a lot of people are. Don't take what I'm about to say out of context.

When was the last time Juventus had a player that was brought in through the system, from the youth squad, to make a truly meaningful impact on the team?

I'm not talking about the fringe player, or the occasional player who comes along and has a solid career. I'm talking about a true star

It has been a very, very long time.

I get the feeling that when us, as fans, happen to see a prodigious young talent like him come up, we WANT him to succeed, not only for the benefit of the senior squad, but as a positive mark on the youth system as well.

The kid comes up, he impresses at Empoli, impresses for the Azzurrini, and the hype train gets rolling.

And I think that is why this tends to affect people a little differently than other younger players over the past couple of years, because of the fact that he came in through the system.
I can see where you are coming from, but football has changed now. I feel sorry for Gio, when you play in a club like Juve and people saying you the next great one it comes with it. We all can see he has great pace and skills its just playing him in his right position. It's not his fault if the Italian coaches look at his size and not to what he brings to the pitch.

We should just sell him... Then maybe in 4 yrs we can buy him back for 50 million or something...
thats the new Juve way, co-ownership, buy back (get ripped off), another co-ownership.

Every player that have left the club in recent years is performing well for their new club, Gio will be the next one and we will be regretting it

I bolded this part, as I found it the most interesting line.

Who exactly on the staff, ownership, or other players are saying this??

If it is either one, or both, of staff and ownership saying this, then shame on them for lifting the hopes of those who support him, only to neglect him.

I don't spend a lot of time reading articles and the like about specific players, but if you can lead me in the right direction, I would be more than interested to see what these pundits have to say about him

just look at what marchisio has become and is becoming through getting the appropriate playing time..... Marchisio wasnt deemed to be half as talented as giovinco. Or even candreva for that matter!

Marchisio half as talented as Giovinco? There is no comparison like that. Marchisio is very talented compared to other players of his position while I can make quite a list of players way more incisive than Giovinco of his positon.

I remember Secco specifically saying he was the future and praising him multiple times. And this is where the lack of top leadership is apparent. They were saying we will use focus on this and that and it was out of the window in a blink of an eye.

True. But I think Marchi is mentally tougher, more tactically aware and took his chances better.

By the way, I think Marchisio got a little lucky with Juve. I think the reason he has developed so well in the last couple of years is mainly because of our Then midfield flops. Tiago was supposed to be Juve's star man. He flopped. Then came Poulsen, and he flopped. And because these two players never really excelled with Juve, to say the least, Marchisio got his chances and he did take them well. Giovinco had Nedved as his competition mainly, and played well when he replaced him. We all thought that this season would finally be Gio's season to shine but after the arrival of Diego, Gio's carreer was put on hold. It's very difficult to fit Giovinco in a formation with Diego in it. Yes, the 4-2-3-1 is attractive and may work but that would be benching one of our strikers. And I don't think Zac would be willing to sub either Del piero, Amauri, or even Iaquinta when fit for Gio.

Basically, the only chance Gio would ever get of playing as a starter this season is wholly dependant on three things.

1. Two of the three strikers I mentioned get injured.
2. Zac abandons his shit formation after losing 5 games in a row.
3. Zac grows a pair and decides to go with a more attacking formation.

In all probability, none of these would happen by the end of this season.

He can replace DC in the 3-4-1-2 formation since the right wing back will be working defensively more than offensively...
