Not any Italian coach would.

Do you know what was Ranieri's statement for Menez? "He came too young to Italy, he should have played at least 200 matches in France".

In Italy coaches prefer to have older and experienced players, who run a lot and who can defend (which is the saddest thing ever) and it's why Italy will lose a CL spot to Germany. There's no point to hope for coefficients, it will stay like this until they realize that they are still playing in mid 90s.

Giovinco is 'too young' to play and it's stupid as hell.

Yeah in general serie A coaches prefer more experienced players in their teams "but" there are quiet a number of serie A coaches who gave the chance to younger players to play in their teams.

Fiorentina, Bari, genoa, udinese, palermo, cagliari... All these clubs and more have given a pretty decent shot for youngsters to play.

IMO the younger generation of coaches in serie A have new idea's and they do give more chances to younger players. Things are changing in this league but its changing slowly.

I find Walcott overrated, I meant something more like Arshavin, even if he's not half as good, he'd get many chances to prove himself

Bendtner isn't even qualified to collect balls and he's a starter

the named coaches that do use young players do actually have to use young players because they do lack the funds to buy proven stars ... so you can not use some cagliari team as example, because they simple do not have anything better than youngsters.

its clear to see that the youngster has to be at least one class better then the experienced player to be even considered

He's is one of the most talented players Italy has put through these last years. But alright, lets say we're totally overrating him and he's not all that, he still deserves to play a bit more than he's done under these 3 coaches, right?
No disagreement here.

This is the cultural aspect Italian football. A player is considered young and inexperienced even at the age of 25.

Add to this that they don't like tiny players, they love tall players. Player who got less tactical and more physical.

Very much so. And maybe Serie A should lose a CL spot because of the rampant stupidity in the nation's football. Of course, since they are the "World Champs", they will brush off the criticism.

Walcott was overrated from the start anyway. I've always said it, i've never been convinced by Theo. He has the potential to turn into a decent player, but not more. Giovinco at Arsenal would have been different, Gio is actually talented and just needs a bit of polishing.
