If Del Piero was 40 years old(Which is the when he's quitting football, not a day earlier!) then Cassano would be the perfect replacement, but we have Del Piero and cuz of that Cassano isn't needed.

Gotta love the attitude on this forum sometimes.
You think we should wait until Del Piero is forty before buying his replacement?

You think he is going to be able to play the vast majority of games for the next four seasons?

I stand by my use of the :sergio: in response to your previous post.

Whoever we buy to replace DP in the end is gonna be a massive disappointment. We'll never hear (or say) the end of it.

Yeah, that is almost inevitable.

I just hope the replacement will be coming into a strong team and won't be expected to carry the side single handedly.

I don't really know how many years Del Piero has left but I can't see us going in to our new home in 2011 and 2012 without Del Piero. It would be one of the biggest disappointments ever if Del Piero wasn't leading the team at least the first season on the new stadium. So until then Capitano better stay fit.

I was watching the highlights against Bologna from last season, man the difference is so big when Giovinco is on the flank and when he is playing as a trequartista. I think Giovinco would be amazing and become great in Barcelona's 4-3-3 on the left flank instead of Henry.

The vid with this music made me feel sad for the kid. I wish him luck here or in barca.

I just wish we would wake up and start doing is thing.

Oh my, i cant even imagine it......

I mean is so ridiculosly difficult to find a replace for all what alex del piero is, that i think everyone must treat the mr new guy in a total normal way, like any new player which comes to juventus, because it will be absurd to hope for someone to fill his shoes.

All this talk bout Gio not being a trequarista and calls for him to be moved on the wings is utter rubbish, we had the opposite being said last year when he played on the wings.
Where ever he plays, the opposing teams are always gonna try and sneakily nudge him off the ball, time and again without much fuss.
Gio`s gotta step it up and find a way of getting past players without going to ground this easily, we all want him to do well but unfortunately his last couple of performances havent been upto scratch.
He`s still young and will learn hopefully, needs to just keep working on it rather than complain about being italian...his last few performances have not given reason enough for Ciro to rely on him as a match winner!!

Step it up Gio......This is the best chance to make a shout for a position in the side!
