i think CR will start him soon ... he trusted in Marchisio and looks like he will be a a starter in most of the season and that's a great sign ..... so there is no worry about Gio my all worries is about De Ceglie i hope he starts ahead of this stupid molinaro (god i hate this guy) .........

You guys are so ignorant. The lad came on as a substitute in a game that had already been decided. We were leading on aggregate and the rest of the team didn't want to put in all effort for something that is not worth fighting for.
So Giovinco comes in, and some of you expect him to do some incredible magic that has never been shown before. I mean, the rest of the squad don't give a shit, how is he supposed to play? To run his loungs out and do tricks and stuff that don't matter? Was he supposed to dribble out whole Artmedia and then score from 40 yards into the right top corner?
Just quit bullshitting yourself and give the kid some time to adapt into this squad and some playing time when we are not leading, or at least not comfortably.

Marchisio is starting because Zanetti and Sissoko are unavailable. I'm afraid that for now, Nedved is Ranieri's preference.

De Ceglie has a lot to prove but I would also like to see him in our lineup.

I really sometimes absolutely detest people who love to jump to conclusions so insanely gravely (Like some already calling Mellberg totally worthless after one frigging game).

The expectations and burdens has gotten to him already??? Really??? Because he had an off game for the last 15 FRIGGING minutes he played in that useless and unventful Artmedia game? (yes, he played for only so little) You jump to that conclusion based on that? And ofcourse he would go out there trying to prove something, why is that something to criticise, wouldnt be incredibly odd if he didnt?

Exactly, thats the reason to it.
We dont have to worry abot Gio, he will def get his chances, i only hope that he will grab them and prove smth.
It is inevitable for Gio to have more chances, we participate in many competitions and eventually Neddy might have a form issue, or smth similar.
Hopefully CR will get the better of them, without forcing Gio to a role that doesnt fit him.
I can see some dif at the optimum tactical schemes, that would favor each others skills. CR better be wise!

no, it wouldn't be ... it would just be called "tiago" ...

but let's see how ranieri will integrate him ... if there is one time i have faith in him, than it is that he will not get thrown into the deep water of serie a to early (if you take into account that it usually takes 70 Minutes from the thought of a substitution to the actual player swap ;) )

The problem with Giovinco is that he has no defense in his game. Nedved and Camo can help out defensively while Giovinco can't, he's soley an attacking minded player. That's why Ranieri is very reluctant on putting him out on the pitch. I think he'll get his chance when Juve play a less powerful team, but defintely not against teams like Fiorentina.

So what does that even mean? We won't ever give Giovinco a chance against the better teams as long as Ranieri is in charge?

He will get his chance. Ranieri has been known to nurture young talents. But the problem with giovinco, is that if he plays its going to be in neddys position, and that's not going to be easy for him. Especially if he gets thrown in straight away.

Slowly but surely, we will see him day in and day out in our starting 11.

:agree: thats why we needed a much bitter full backs in our team. If we had a WC left back that is bitter than molinaro, then the coach will feel much safer to play Gio as a winger.

I can pretty much garauntee you that we won't be seeing Giovinco starting in anay of the games unless Nedved or Camo are injured. In fact, Ranieri might prefer Salihamidzic because he can help defend on the wings and cover a lot of space.

Ranieri's formation in itself is not suited for Giovinco, we would get exposed if he plays in this formation. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be an issue if we didn't have players like Molinaro covering on the wings.

I think it's even part of the reason our management offloaded Giovinco last season. It's not just because he's inexperienced, it's because Ranieri knows he won't be able to use him in most of the games. He would be taking too much of a risk.

That's exactly my point. As long as we have players like Molinaro covering, we can't afford to open up so much space by playing Giovinco. We would simply be destroyed on the left wing against any team with half decent wingers.
