Why he doesnt apply to a seat on the BoD is beyond me

The guy is sooo inteligent he can be our Sporting director and Vice pres at the same time.

Khedira, you are losing your time playing , trust me. i have seen in you the talent.

Talk to Agnelli man,

Talk to Agnelli man,
One day man, he's gonna buy all the intelligent players that know where, when and how to move, no nonsense pointless dribbling and knowledge of all the little tactical tricks. He gonna build us a team of Khediras

Andrea Pirlo: "Khedira on my Milan would had been a starter. With these few trainings there is evidence how the player is different of others. An intelligence and a sense of positioning out of the common. I have the intention of giving him a steady position on the squad. He is not on the market."

I only translated :(, I hope Khedira is out too. But I guess is better to have him and paying him than not having him and paying him anyway.
My only regret for this given the circumstances is that probably Khedira is probably going to steal some young primavera minutes by playing.
I hope you actually made that shit up

Disgusting if true. We can't keep this fucking fossil here any longer. Enough is enough.

I get it. He's smart, tactical, understands positioning, but he's slow as fuck, injured often, and he's been a liability for almost two years. Time to GTFO!
:agree:
This isn't a charity. He's earned his fair share of money and trophies. It's time to move on (has been since 2018-19). He has a contract, but we can always freeze him out like Mandzu and Can if he doesn't accept a transfer.

People hating on Khedira and calling him a leech for honouring his contract that the board of directors agreed to extend. Go and hate on them in their thread. This guy is just being a professional...
Yeah but he perfectly knows what is going on and he have a choice to still have a decent season in lower level or to rot on a bench here. I don't believe he expects to 'show pirlo he deserves to play' cuz that would be delusional.

Idk man, I would never know what is in pro player's head, but in my mind I would want to play a game I love and live for and be happy, because careers are short. Would it make a difference to have 5 millions more for me when I already have like 50?

At some point he must ask himself, is this all worth it.

So think of it this way - you work for a great company that offers you the chance to be successful and go on luxurious business trips, you’ve worked there 4 years and have another year on your contract. A contract they offered you. They don’t really want you anymore and expect you to walk away from some of the salary that you are entitled to legally - the choice for you to leave is theirs, and they’ve not consulted with you at all, in fact, only last year they asked you to stay on for this additional year as they were relying on you.

not only this but they now also expect you to leave all that behind to work for a shitty company that works in a sector that doesn’t interest you at all, there’s no chance in your new place of work that you will receive any of the benefits you currently get and you’re going to have to relocate your whole family to do this.

people are way too harsh on the players in these scenarios, it’s the directors who are to blame - absolutely the same with Higuain.

Quote from Pirlo’s autobiography:
‘When a club throws a tantrum and leaves a player out who is refusing to take a wage cut, people often act on instinct and pass judgement on the player. Did the directors have a gun to their head when they agreed that multi million salary? Might it be they got their sums wrong and blamed it on the player (who may have large family’s to provide for). Are you telling me the big cheeses, after organising secretive meetings, dinners and showering the player with gold in order to get him to the club can then ask for it all back? Are they not the liars? Are they not the ones who when it came down to it couldn’t keep their word? How can an employer blame the player for the terms of the contract that they set out themselves’

- I completely agree with him

I agree, all the points are valid, but do not forget that we all would be mostly fine getting a salary for just sitting around. For football players I highly doubt it. Our jobs are usually not our lives, football on the other hand is their life.

Also our future employer would not care about us not really working for a year or two, it would take what, a month to fully get back to business? For a player over 30 to barely play any competitive games though... It leaves a big dent in their future career of whatever it's left.

Bottom line is - if Sami and Gonzalo wants to have a decent season (meaning playing time at an EL-level club) they should leave on mutual agreement. What some of you and media call 'honoring a contract' is basically admitting that they don't really care about playing time as long as they are paid decently. Clubs mistake would be willingness to release them and pay their full wages at which point there is no point in doing that - they could be used for B team for all I care.

But a football players career is relatively short and especially with the fitness issues Sami has had. Maybe he doesn’t care about getting minutes, I don’t think football is always a players lives, a lot of them just see it as a job and massively fall out of love with the game in their later years.

I think we both agree here. I don’t want Sami or Higuain on this team and I’d like them to accept the mutual terminations so we can all move forward, I’m saying the issue here and the anger should be directed at management rather than the players, they signed up to their contract and are honouring their side of the bargain, these guys haven’t gone awol or been unprofessional.
