Do you think Ukraine are in a better position to repel the Russians at the moment than it did previously? Difficult to gauge these things when you're from afar.
Russia might not have the capacity to occupy the whole country, but besiege and basically destroy their most important eastern and central cities is a very realistic scenario, sadly.

I didn’t had a lot of free time in recent days so I didn’t follow everything, but I think that the momentum is slowly getting back to Russia. Quantity will make the difference for them.

Europe is the center for football and it has been that way always and will continue so.

Yes it's maybe wrong, but the power lies here. No one gives a shit about Africa, Asia etc when it comes to football.

Sport and politics shouldn't be mixed together, but again: Those who die in wars counts the same and it's all tragic, but some wars are more influental and serious than others.

For instance I think we can agree the world wars were more influental than the Boer war. What happens in Europe is just more influental to the world...

It might also be a huge factor that Europe didn't have a war like this since WW2. It's not just some minor skirmishes.
You’re pretty much proving my point. Ironically this whole war is started because Putin thought “power lies here”. Rules are rules and should be the same for everyone.

I never proclaimed it's okay it works like this, just how most Europeans sees it.

And like I said, it's impossible for the West to take a one sided stance about Israel-Palestine, the conflict is so complex and you will find most people disagree about who's right and who's wrong in the conflict.

A war in Europe interest Europeans, a war in the Middle East interest those living there.

The Palestianians/Arabs are just mad they don't get the limelight anymore. No one from there really cares about what's going on here anyway.

It's just the sad reality how things work, even if it sounds harsh.
Such horseshit. Say it like it is - we want White Christians we dont want Brown Christians nor muslims. And we could give a fuck what happens to anyone else. Doesnt make it right, but lets not polish a turd.

Let me call out on some hypocrisy from the Arab world. They keep bringing up Palestine because they hate Israel, but won’t lift a finger to actually help Palestinians.
Actually they do help Palestine with rockets and bombs so they can attack Jews

Europe has welcomed a lot of refugees from Africa and middle East and now the criminal rate is growing

Dude that squash player very well knows how white Europeans see it. He’s complaining that it’s not fair, and you’re pretty much confirming his stance. The way I see it you and him are in complete agreement. You just berate him for no good reason.

Not fair that many people in Europe will prefer to welcome european refugees over african or from middle East? Bruh, try to go to live in a Muslim country as a white Christian, I'm pretty sure they will prefer Muslim refugees over Christians, that's how the world is working

I don't care where they're from. I'm just tired of them trying to play the victim card in this conflict.

It's just how it is.

Europeans cared plenty in numerous conflicts that destabilized the region.

That’s a different subject. But your assumption is not 100% correct. Muslims hate each other. They hate christians too so they don’t want to take anybody.

Yes, are they not victims of discrimination here? The people who were freezing on the polish border? Not saying Ukranians shouldnt be helped, but its definitely discrimination.

I'm not sure how discrimination of Muslim/Arab refugees are relevant in this discussion, unless I miss your point?

About the Israel-Palestine conflict: I have the most sympathy for the Israelis, hence I also said what I said about the Egyptian guy. It's impossible for the West to take a united stance in the conflict down there as we differ so much in our opinions from person to person regarding it.

I agree.

I generally don't think you should meddle in other countries just for the sake of it. And I know the Western world have fucked many things up in a historic context which of course ain't okay.

All the conquered colonies is a perfect example.

I think this sport-politics thing need to be looked at context. Banning Russians sports team is used as a tool and to avoid public backlash as Cerval said.
Sport organization were under pressure from both directions, the political establishment and the public. Unfourtenetly for them, Palestinians have neither of those enough for different reasons.

You have Russia running state propaganda non-stop for decades with local population barely aware of what's going on outside. The ban is to counter that and apply pressure on Russia from within, canceled national football match will raise questions. It shows Russians that the world is angry.

Can this same method be used on Israel? yes. but contrary to this conflict where there is a (very)clear wrong/right and more so a clear solution, Russia leaving Ukraine, what will this pressure make Israel do? leave? give Palestine unilateral independence? to which one? both? So you can see why the political pressure isn't there.

For the public pressure I can't judge, it is what it is.
