Retard.

Of course a war in Europe will interest Europeans more than a war in the Middle East. What is so hard to understand?

We care about whats going on in our near enviroment, just like no one in Palestine could give a fuck about what's going on in Ukraine.
Let me call out on some hypocrisy from the Arab world. They keep bringing up Palestine because they hate Israel, but won’t lift a finger to actually help Palestinians.

Couldn't agree more.

And the Syrian refugees, a lot of the neighboring Arab countries didn't really take any refugees in large numbers in, Saudi Arabia close to none. Instead Turkey had to take millions and Europe as well, but some of their Arab brothers didn't want to help them at all. Even when they speak the same languages and mostly have the same religion and culture.

What fucking hypocrisy.

What? That’s exactly the eurocentric view he’s complaining about.

A war in Europe interest Europeans, a war in the Middle East interest those living there.

The Palestianians/Arabs are just mad they don't get the limelight anymore. No one from there really cares about what's going on here anyway.

It's just the sad reality how things work, even if it sounds harsh.

Yeah but when FIFA and other international brand or sport association gets involved that are supposed to be global, they were told to keep politics out of sport

Because the conflict in the Middle East doesn't affect the world the same way a war in Europe does. Again it sounds harsh, but Europe is just a more influental continent than most others.

And politic gets involved in this war because of the demographics and how the war came out of the blue. Also a lot of European footballers and some clubs got "invovled" in this because Europe is where all the money in the sport is located.

It's not that I don't feel with those who die and suffer in conflicts in the Middle East. But a war like this in Europe is simply more dangerous to the world than a conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Again this is just my opinion.

dude, it’s bad for the people who are being penalised for something they didn’t do and want no part in. but the amount of double standard is insane .the politic should be separated from sport when it comes about palestine. in other side, involving sport with politic with different behaviour about ukraine. it's simply pointing out the hypocrisy of the Western governments and officials.

Not many in the world is affected by the Israeli-Palestine conflict. But the whole world are already affected by the war in Europe.

Is it wrong for it to mix politics and sport together? Yes.

But this war is affecting Europeans, hence they take a stand. Israel-Palestine doesn't affect them.

Like no one in the Middle East will take a stand in this, but they will gladly take a stand against Israel.

Anyways I agree 100% that it was a good call they did. Its just that they haven't been consistent. They wouldn't even have done it without the backlashes

The Israel and Palestine conflict is so complex and you have to go back in time so many years, that you can’t really compare it.

Exactly!

And that's also why it's impossible for the West to take a one sided stance in that conflict. It depends totally on the individual European who he finds sympathy with it in the conflict, so for Europe and the media to pick a side in that conflict will not happen.

Russia is clearly the aggressor in this war hence it's easy to blame them. But the Egyptian guy in the video of course hates Israel, so he has to mention it in the midst of all this. I seen many Arabs who does say "but, but, but Palestine!!!"

They don't understand that the conflict down there is so much more complex and not as one sided as this one.

Sporting bodies do not only govern Europeans. If they bend the rules for European politics then that’s exactly eurocentric.
The correct answer to his claim, IMO, is that war is not politics.

Europe is the center for football and it has been that way always and will continue so.

Yes it's maybe wrong, but the power lies here. No one gives a shit about Africa, Asia etc when it comes to football.

Sport and politics shouldn't be mixed together, but again: Those who die in wars counts the same and it's all tragic, but some wars are more influental and serious than others.

For instance I think we can agree the world wars were more influental than the Boer war. What happens in Europe is just more influental to the world...

It might also be a huge factor that Europe didn't have a war like this since WW2. It's not just some minor skirmishes.
