Increase drilling and domestic energy production and use the profits to invest in renewables to be ready to take over once we start to run low on reserves.

The dumbest thing we’ve been doing is shutting down oil and gas production before we’re ready to fully transition.
Renewables are a scam . The whole green movement was funded and propped up by the oil and gas companies

Nah. Disagree entirely. They aren’t. They work well, and the tech will improve and have them work even better eventually.

Nuclear should also be continued, especially further development in dealing with the waste and eventually fusion.

I work in renewable. there is a lot under the surface people miss about the renewable industry.

That’s fine. I grew up living off-grid in a place that couldn’t have anything else, and have witnessed the technology jump leaps and bounds over the past 30 years. Do I think it’s perfect? Nope. Do I believe you that a lot of shit goes on under the surface? Yes I do. And that renewables aren’t as “green” as they are made out to be? Yes.

But they are part of the future (along with nuclear) and moving away from oil and gas eventually, which will either happen willingly or be forced upon the world.

Do share please. If not super secret stuff.
It's a bit off topic' I'll keep it very short. But Solar has a huge environmental cost no one talks about, the minerals and martials are highly toxic, recycling technology isn't there, there are latterly Mountains of old panels stashed in china and they go into water and stuff (that's only the first generation out of commission). Also just the land mass you would need to have solar as a major energy source is a huge blow to the environment, natural habitat of animals, etc. it's renewable but not "green" at all

Wind isn't a very cost-effective tech, and will take a few decades to become as viable as alternatives. They also carry significant environmental consequences.

All that without going into the electricity grid network that cant support the fluctuations in energy production (which require conventional power plants to regulate, ironically). the current costly "green" solution is energy storage, again using nickel' lithium and other toxics that are hard to recycle and costly to mine, very.

On top of all that the economics isn't really there in many cases, many renewable project are economical only because of government subsidies and such so they aren't sustainable independently.

Not saying they should or wouldn't be part of the future energy portfolio, but they will never be more then 30-40% at best 100 years from now.

Azerbaijan had no statehood before soviet period
Under this name? Only for two years (1918-1920).

Well after 1991 they were given freedom to build a democratic country but instead they've built autocracy
Maybe because Papa Putler interferes or would interfere just like in Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Little fürher came to power in 1999, so you had 10 -12 years to switch to democratic state but instead you've decided to live under family of autocrats

Hydroelectricity seems sustainable
