I watch the Argentine league regularly and tbh I don't think he is.

There is a lot of weaknesses in that league, but it's very physical and they play with high intensity. This beta bentancur would get eaten alive.
That made me think of a good nickname for him: Betacunt

@Bianconero81 do you approve?

Heck, where does that place the guy? He has no business playing professional football then.
I honestly feel like he hasn't developed at all here: last seasons he has even regressed.

His confidence is in the gutter, he is weak in duels and has no presence at all In our midfield. His offensive contribution is non existent. Also he has become more and more clumsy on the ball and in possesion in general and seems unfocused.

I dont know if it's a mental problem or whatever the fuck, but it's crazy to see a midfielder play for Juventus with this kind of fragility.

It almost feels like charity employing him at Juventus FC. Baffling player and a baffling situation that he somehow keeps his place. One can only assume our management are idiots

Bentancur is a good example how some external factors can decide a players career. This guy had the luck he was somewhat hyped as a talented youngster and has since then made some serious cash while playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Pick any random midfielder of Empoli, put him in the same career path at his age and you would not see a difference in quality (well maybe in a positive way).

Like being born in a safe part of the world. Life is not fair, I guess.

Not sure, if we still are. I am not sure if any good sources are on it, but apparently Saul wanted out and was close to Chelsea, but that deal apparently failed. So maybe he is still on market, and with their former interest in Bentancur maybe it could be an option. Diego, for whatever reason seems to rate Bentancur.

Realistically tho, how much could we sell him for? $25m-30m?

let’s keep the 50% sell on fee out of it for a moment
