Van Persie would be very reliable for a season or two. He would lead the line and has great touch/control on receiving a through pass.

That said, it would not be the ideal transaction given the age factor. The likelihood of his devaluating resale value makes the proposition relatively unattractive when compared and contrasted to Cavani, who in the age context, would offer better value.

Whatever happens if either player ends up playing at the Juventus Arena next season then it would represent a major step forward in strengthening the squad in readiness for two major campaigns.

A new goal machine and a Del Piero replacement are paramount objectives. A third purchase - a defensive central midfielder that plays the Busquets/ Mascherano role is the only other main requirement.

He is so going to CITY.
That leaves us with Cavani considering that Chelsea won't make CHL next season.

Cavani> RVP

Di Marzio: Paratici has met with Van Persie's entourage - RvP has given his OK and demands €7-8 mill in wages.
Didn't aguero and his crew accepted our offer before he decided to join city before? Anyway this RVP talk is a load of toss if you ask me.

personally feel that he will renew with Arse.
That would be a surprise, wouldn't it?

- One year left on his contract
- Host of other big clubs are linked
- Player says he is a fan of his club no matter what
- Player is now in contract talks with other clubs
- Player signs new contract with current club
