i dont read other forums.
As far as i am concerned, we have never made an official offer, just commented that he is a good player, but after Reporters asked that question.
A few weeks ago, i ve heard articles about Inter wanting to off load Pazzini and one of the mentioned names were RVP, for Milan i ve heard other names.
But i know from previous seasons, that we cant afford a player salary close to 10mil, because in Italy you have to pay pretty much the double after taxes.
Only the Milano based clubs, can efford such salaries, because they have higher incomes, due to bigger stadiums, better sponsor deals, TV rights, CL income etc,
they can afford, Ibra, Sneider and up until recently, we couldnt even afford to pay Flamini's salary, so we are naturally out of the question... for a RVP or Dzeko.
With the new standards imposed even them will have difficulties to give such salaries, but they can make sacrfices to have one such striker.

Inter have signed Palacio, i really doubt that they will bid, unless they sell first and if they bid, it will be for a CF.
If they decide to bid, unlike us, they can afford his salary, so they are a dynamically realistic probability, but we are not, at any case.
So personally, i dont believe that he will leave the EPL for Italy and if he does, his salary indicates that he could only go to one of the two Milano based teams.
Simply because that they are the only ones who can afford his salary not because i heard current rumors for their official interest.
(ex Napoli could be interested, but who cares, they cant afford his salary)

So if i trust the above mentioned comments of his father, Arsenal, no Spain, no other EPL team, the only logical conclusion is a Milano based team or Arsenal.
Milan Def not happening as long as (who plays in the same position/role) Ibra is there, so its either Arsenal or Inter, logic conclusion...
No source for the RVP to Inter rumour. 100% opinion and speculation. Waste of time. WTF?

All right. In that case I want Rooney, RvP, Ibra and Gomez. Can I please? You don't understand me mate.. Im talking moneywise here
Money wise ?He would be worth all the money..As i said before he is genuine Ballon D'or material and i reiterate we would walk the Scudetto if he comes here. When Ibra earns 9m a year ,RVP is in the same class as Ibra if not better ,i say why not ?You have to pay top dollar to acquire your man and in RVP we'd be getting a genuine elite player.RVP is a profiled name in world football so i'd reckon he'd bring a substantial amount of money in shirt sales too.

Like i said before i dont see our management breaking the bank for him(paying the requested 30m),but i think a 25m offer is doable imo.

Cronios seems want to find every negative things and make its worse with his image. Can't understand what he did it for, or it's just his nature. I have no problem with he finding negative things, but get annoy with his trying to make thing worse.

as i said, the difference between us and them is huge and the reason is everything i mentioned and more (etc) if only one variable changes, good for us, but could this alone make the difference?
I doubt, the difference was quite huge for this alone to turn tables.
Ill put it simply we paid 22.5 million odd for Amauri+ big wages.. we can afford rvp and this was when we didn't have our stadium revenue or the meseum and we have champions league football back.
We can muster i big sum to make a decent bid, if we dont share it left and right on Destros and other 15mil transfers, no doubt.
But the max salary cap, is a set price and the maximum we ever gave was close to 5,5mil, the half of what Dzeko and RVP are earning now...
I m referring on the salary alone here, not the transfer bid.

I never said there was a specific rumor, for this very reason, this very thread should close, unless there is a sourse for us made an official bid.
The whole thread is opinion and speculation. Thats what i said, BUT, at least on theory, they can afford him, we dont!

29 years old. 41m €. Do you see my point? And don't start the "he's a legend talk"
Wait!..... Are you aiming to start an argument that our board were incompetent back then for signing Nedved for that sum (or they didn't know what they were doing for taking this too much of a risk)? or Nedved was not a good player, at least not worthy of 41m at 29?
You said you didn't watch calcio back then, so stfu cuz this is gonna be really embarrassing at your end, if continued.

---------- Post added 09.06.2012 at 16:24 ----------

Our team's management have a certain way of handling our economics, there are some certain parameters and salary cups and other restrictions, discussed and respected by our board.
No one can do what he likes and when he likes, we are a company that respects some certain rules.
Our shareholders have a say, or long term project have a say etc
It is irrelevant if AA can buy him, just to keep him in his living room along with his cat, he cannot put all that cash directly on our account anymore, our company respects some rules, we have never signed a 10mil salary guy, our priority was to tut the expences and adapt to the Platini rules asap.
We are doing well, despite having less income than everybody else. We have hard decisions and sacrifices, like releasing a club legend, who was earning much much less than that ammount.

Football has changed, there are salary limits according to earnings. In England, the common ppl are very ritch, they can afford to pay very high ticket prices and TV rights.
The clubs make insane profits and the state help them, by not imposing insane taxes.
Unfortunately in Italy things are different.
There are specific and techical reasons we cannot compete with EPL clubs on salary terms.
Our club has officially took a stance and admitted this fact many times. It is smth we cannot ignore.

Some washed up players, accept huge salary caps, but not the hottest gun in Europe, not at his most productive age, RPV is exactly the player we cannot afford!
High prolific strikers coming from the EPL are the highest earners in the world off football, the most unrealistic target we can dream off...
Jesus the amount of negativity coming out of this guy's posts is just unbearable? :sergio:

Regarding the whole Fee issue (that we can't afford him) its a bit lame IMO. We managed to spend 50 mil euros on two players (Diego and Melo) same summer. What makes guys here think we can't afford 30 mil for Van persie ?!

I think we can "easily" afford him.

Dear Cronios, please get your facts straight on Van Persie's current salary and since when have you had a problem with opinion and speculation? That's what every single 'argument' of yours is based on.

You are sporting director of Juventus. Your budget is 50m €. The team needs a new midfielder for rotation status, a new LB/LWB and depth in general. You buy RvP for 30m €? You can afford it, but is it truly a good buy when you think of everything else then the fact that he is a fantastic player? Or is that all that matters?

Potentially you could spend the entire budget on a single player just like Moggi did.. You would end up as one of the two: 1. Moggi (a hero to some for his quality signings) or 2. Secco (a looser to many for his stupid signings)

DP only earned 1m a year..But yeah the biggest decrement in our wage bill will come from Amauri who was the second highest earner at 4.5m.Iaquinta earns close to 3 as well.

...........................

And talking about wages ,Diego was on a 5.5m per year pay packet if i'm correct even though i think he wasnt worth that money.

And we were ready to offer Aguero 7.5m per season right ?Think again..

melo+elia+krasic sales = 20 mil their wages would be pretty high all would be on atleast 2 mil a season based on opinion I think we can afford Rvp

Its about the maximum ammount of a salary we can pay, annually, not the transfer bid we will make.
