Ha, who knows. I think all the media is full of BS and none of them really know, both here and in Italy. But the media here in England are especialy terrible. For instance this is what the Daily Mirror is running with this as their sport headline tomorrow.

"Van Persie's mine: Fergie tells pals he's confident of landing Arsenal ace"

I cannot guarantee anything but i'm as sure as i can be that he won't go to Man United. It's just more BS. They will say He's staying at Arsenal the day after then it will be City or Juve again on Saturday lol.

SAF is going the City route it seems..Instead of fixing the midfield and fullback issues,he wants to overload his team with attackers :sergio:(Van Persie ,Lucas Moura)

Ahmed, are we visiting the forum at the same time or are you here all the time?
I wonder the same thing. And I live on the opposite side of the world.

Hello my Juve friends. I'm a Manchester City fan for 30 years and i have joined your forum to talk about the beautiful game with fans of one of the worlds true great clubs... The Old Lady, Juventus. I hope you will accept me here.

I thought i would make my first post here as RVP is a player that interests both our clubs. I have only read the last few pages of this thread but from what i see you are of the same opinion as we are. Some want him, Others think his age and injury record pose too big a risk when there are other targets we could both go for. However none of us can deny if he stays fit and he's in form he is a great player. I think he would be great at Juve with the Genius Pirlo feeding him.

It also seems we are both being told different things through the media also. I'm not sure what sources you guys use but On Sky News and most British media it says RVP wants to join City but Arsenal might force him to stay to make sure they get CL football next season. But you guys hear he wants Juve right? LOL, who knows? i think the media make thiongs up day by day just to sell papers and get viewers. However i do know for sure that he was in Cheshire (Rich outskirts of Manchester) not long ago looking at possible houses in the area and i saw a picture yesterday of him, his agent and a high official at MCFC having a meal together. Make of this what you will.

All any of us can do however is speculate, Until a deal is done none of us really know. If he does choose Juve then i wish him and you all the best. Rather than Man U get him :)
Why can't all non-juve fans that come here be as pleasant as you? Welcome:)

Fuck off, Alen.

I might get chastised for this, but I'd rather get RvP this summer. We need him, and at the moment he's a level above Jojo. I love Jojo too, don't get me wrong but we could maybe get him next year too. Right now, I'd he much happier if we got RvP. We'd actually have a chance in CL.

Agreed. Even if jojo would fit better (some say yes, some say no) I think that just by having a player of Van persie's popularity and skill, we will be considered one of the strongest in europe. I feel that with jojo, spanish and english teams wont be as afraid of us, as opposed to if we got rvp.

Just my opinion.

Well... Thank you kindly for calling me "Alen" and telling me to "F**k" off, but while i assure you i have never heard of this chap i admit my curiousity is peeked and i would now like to know who he is. A wum who has a bit of a rep here it seems? Perhaps one of your mods could check up on my IP address, I'm sure it will say i am from Manchester as i said. I'm affraid your harsh words to this "Alen" fella will unfortunately not reach him... But i take no insult, Cases of mistaken identity are an all to common thing on the internet.

But back to the topic at hand, The question was asked a few posts back "What does RVP want?" I think the answer is very simple... The chance to win the honors his great talent deserves. He obviously feels that Arsenal are not in the position to achieve this in the time he has left within his career. He has 1 big contract left in him and he wants to make sure he signs on with a club that will give him a fighting chance of winning some titles so when he looks back in later life he doesn't regret what might have been.

Sure, in terms of wages compared to the highest paid players in England he is not on that much (Reportedly £80,000 PW) and We (Man City) could probably offer him more. But i genuinely believe he isn't just about the money. All 3 of us, City, Juve and United can all offer him a realistic chance of winning titles in a proven winning team. So he has a very tough choice ahead of him. The way i see it City have the strongest squad but as a result he will get less game time. Both Juve and United also have much more experience in the Champions League and that gives them the edge in terms of winning that title. We will have to learn to walk before we can run in that competition.

City are the English Champs, Juve the Italian Champs, United the most successfull club in Prem league history... As i say, a very tough decision. We can all offer hime what he wants. The glory he feels he will not get at Arsenal.
