he is most comfortable as an SS but all the forward positions are taken up right now...i think sending him on loan would be a great idea for Palla...go somewhere where he will get more playing time and more freedom to express himself on the pitch

What makes you think we will use a trident?
I think Palla will leave and Iaquinta will stay.

Ranieri Hails Amauri Signing
Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has hailed the signing of Amauri, and also insists that he can play in a three-man strikeforce alongside Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet.
»Commenti (22) Stampa Articolo Invia ad un amico Contatta la redazione galleria zoom The Brazilian finally completed his move to Juve from Palermo today in a cash-plus-players deal, and he represents the Bianconeri’s first big signing of the summer.

“This is a player we've been following for a long time,” declared Ranieri.

“After his injury [in December 2006] he immediately returned to play at the highest level and he showed it against us too [this season], scoring two brilliant goals in the game in Palermo.

“He's a very strong striker, and will further strengthen our forward line up, a line up that has already shown its worth.”

Many people have questioned the need for Amauri considering the fact that Del Piero and Trezeguet scored 41 goals between them this season in Serie A.

Ranieri though believes that the 27-year-old can play in a three-pronged attack.

“Being the player he is, he'll be able to play alongside Del Piero as well as with Trezeguet or Iaquinta and he could also play in a three-man attack if needed,” the Tinkerman stressed.

“With Amauri's arrival the process of strengthening our team continues, so that we can try and do even better next season.”

Sampdoria have bought full rights to co-owned midfielder Paolo Sammarco after agreeing a fee with Milan.

The promising 25-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season at Marassi last term and was a regular starter for sixth-placed Samp.

The Blucerchiati are ready to pay Milan around £2m for their 50 per cent share of Sammarco.

After growing up in the Rossoneri youth system, Sammarco was sent out on loan to Serie C sides Viterbese and Prato before getting his break with Chievo.

He now leaves Milan’s pay roll without ever having made a professional appearance for the Diavolo.

Meanwhile, Samp are reportedly tracking Juventus striker Raffaele Palladino and Torino's Azzurrini defender Marco Motta.
