I Want To Play More - Palladino
Juventus striker Raffaele Palladino talked about his struggles while playing on the wing in order to get more chances to play.
He plays with Juventus, he's taken into consideration for the Italian national team, yet Raffaele Palladino is not one of the happiest footballers around. At 24 years of age, as seems logical, he wants to grow, show what he can do, and in a word, get more space to play.
"I'd like to play more, that's obvious, but with Juventus we've decided to talk about it at the end of the season, so in June we will clear this up," he said from the Azzurri's training camp.
What's also been bothering the player is the fact that he's frequently had to play on the wing, as he explained: "I challenge any striker in Italy to play as a winger. I do it with pleasure in order to play more, but it's clear that I'm a striker who is trying to adapt to a different role."
On the criticisms frequently aimed at him: "I need to play more often, and unfortunately I often read overly excessive criticisms while I'm trying to sacrifice myself, playing on the wing and often retreating to defence."
