Palladino will b the next BIG thing!Mark my word.......
There is only so long you can go on being the next big thing. This season Palla has to be the big thing, or he will probably be sold next summer.

He has heaps of ability but he neither scores nor creates goals, so he needs to make himself more useful rather than just nice to watch.

The next big thing is Giovinco and Rossi,Palla will be a great player but not as good as these two. Zola and Casiraghi both felt they shud have started with Rossi over Palla back in the last U21 tournament. Palla has the tricks and techniques but he havent shown the end product either the wonderfull assist or goal scoring machine.

The Director of Sports of Fiorentina, Pantaleo Corvino, is trying to make one more important transfer for his team as the Tuscan club is trying to sign Raffaele Palladino from Juventus.

The Bianconeri's player is currently not finding too much space in the Old Lady's squad, with Iaquinta, Del Piero and Trezeguet all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Earlier in summer Juventus had declared that Palladino is not for sale and the Bianconeri stopped from trying to sign Giuseppe Rossi in order to focus on their own player for the future.

According to sources close to the Viola, the offer is of about 10 million Euros, and even though the Bianconeri have rejected the initial offer, the Turin based club might be tempted to let their young forward leave for that amount.

It wasn't really his tournament. But I still think he can reach the next level, and I hope he will get the chance to show his abilities often enough to make the next step. This is a decisive season for Palla, and last years' performances have made me optimistic that he will succeed.

I have to agree with you, shame we didn't go for Rossi this year in some ways as his partnership with Giovinco looks impressive - similar to the Totti/Cassano when they were clicking.

I can't help but like Palla and he is one of ours but the end product is lacking too often.. Commentary yest said he is doing extra shooting practice though so we'll see.. They should put Iaquinta in for some of that too..

I say 15m and its a deal. Jaan Klaas...anybody? Nocerino, Marchisio and Giovinco are the gems we should be holding on too. No offense to anybody here, but I do find Palladino is a tad overrated.

He is overrated in this forum specially. some People see him as the next player to take Del Piero's or Trezeguet's spot (not the position, he is different than them both). I doubt that is happening, he is only Zalayeta's replacement, he won't force his way to that 3rd (1st sub) forward spot, unless if someone changes his playing position, and he starts doing wonders there (hard possibility ) back to midfield for example.. I would prefer if Zalayeta was kept here, too late..

I like Palladino´s style, movement and technique but he is not indispensable in my book. I would have preffered Giuseppe Rossi. As Ranieri said, Palladino lacks something and as Dominic said, he lacks end product and effectiveness.

However, I hope he gets as many chances as possible and then we´ll see. He has a lot of time to improve and he has the potential and determination. I don´t think he will improve much though, as he is already 23, he is near his full potential.

Maybe you are right, but I think we can only make a conclusion after this season. It will sill be early enough to sell him, and at that point, we will know much more about his abilities, whether he is good enough for Serie A-Juve or not.
He deserves some time IMO after the potential he has shown last season.

its not fsir for rossi to compoare these 2 players
first palla has been on loan at clubs like livorno and has failed to produce until last season in serie b
rossi was a huge part of why ranieri was able to keep parma in serie a..he failed at man utd but he was at man utd when palla was at livorno...failiing with a team like livorno isnt a breakthru in a career..its quite the opposite
secondly the italy u 21 played much better with rossi when he was introduced to take palla's place
nocerino, criscito, marchisio n giovinco should be untouchable but palla should be given time this season to show if hes worth keeping for the future
id hate to see him leave cuz he has potential but is a step behind players like rossi, aquilani, nocerino, acquafresca, criscito
rather sell him to ferguson for a huge heap of money so we can get a striker like huntelaar

Palla is NOT over-rated....the technique is clearly there,he's a player who's rather comfortable with the ball at his feet, all he needs is to brush up on his body strength and his finishing....he's a bit of a diamond in the ruff @ t moment, but given the right environment i c him as DP's heir

Lets screw Palladino... .
gay icon anyone?

Palladino has come to a halt thats generally due to him getting next to no playing time. Its unforunate at the moment but as the term goes on legs will hurt the likes of Iaquinta trez and del piero so his chance will come and he must prove to us all that his finish product is improving!

i sincerely believe Giovinco will be the one to take Del Piero's shirt at the end.
