We neither need nor can afford someone better than Licht, but considering how many matches he missed last season and how pathetic Isla was, we defo need someone enough reliable to step up when needed, and I liked what I saw from Romulo last season.

And I said before hopefully we have a deal in place for Isla.

Inb4 quality before quantity, but I rate Pereyra and Romulo much higher than the likes of Padoin and Peluso.

And I think this is the last season where we buy players for rotation/bench. (But then again, I've said this last season too :shifty:)

bring this guy and sell liche to psg as part of pastore deal
Lichsteiner is one of, if not the most underrated players on our team. You sell him and you'll notice a huge drop in quality and especially grinta down the right.

I do not mind us selling Isla, especially after his WC exposure and getting Romulo as his replacement.

never said he is underrated, he is very good hard working player, but he is 30 if psg really looking for him it will be good to get pastore who can work very good for us and he is 25.

I honestly have no idea why so many people bring up the whole RB argument.

I'm pretty sure our RB spot is reserved for Licht while his back-up is going to be Caceres. Isla should be sold cause not only he disappointed here, but because 4 man defense is not where he's supposed to shine in the first place.

Romulo is able to cover RB spot if needed, but that's not why we're getting him. We're getting him to play in the middle. In Verona most of the time he was starting in a middle where he played next to Jorginho (until he left). IF we're going to use occasional 3-5-2 (which I highly, highly doubt) then we might use him on the right, but otherwise no.

How I see the whole scenario is that we're getting Romulo to replace Padoin while Pereyra is gonna start of most of his matches behind our striker(s).

Like you say, Romulo is probably going to be used as the sub RWB and Vidal's CM back up, with an emergency role as a right back if needed.
