Report: Juve agree Romulo terms
By Football Italia staff

It’s rumoured Juventus have agreed terms with Verona to sign Romulo on loan with option to buy for €7m.

The winger has long been linked with a move to Turin and negotiations have intensified in recent days.

According to SportMediaset and Sky Sport Italia, the announcement of a deal is imminent, having presented Roberto Pereyra to the media today.

Juve have agreed to take Romulo on loan from Verona with an option to buy, which would take the total cost of the operation to €7m.

The 27-year-old is Brazilian, but has chosen to play his international football for Italy and missed out on the World Cup due to injury.

He scored six goals in 32 games for Hellas Verona last season and is known for his midfield versatility.

It had been rumoured that Juve wanted to sign Romulo earlier, but Coach Antonio Conte did not back the move.

New boss Massimiliano Allegri, on the other hand, is ready to welcome the ex-Fiorentina man with open arms.

I wonder how much the 'loan' will be. Wouldn't surprise me if it is €1.5m-€2m again. And I'm surprised Verona would let him go for under €10m.

Why do we want this player?

What does he add to the squad? I have no memories of him, and all I hear is "he's versatile."

Does he have any noteable good qualities at all?

He's very good, the best player of Verona this year along with Iturbe and Toni. And very young, with great potential. If was not for an injury he would have been starting for Italy at the World Cup, let's not forget.

If we get him at 7 milion it's a real bargain. Come on Beppe, do it!

And this means Isla out :ID:

He's 27. Hardly the definition of young. He'll I'm going to be 45 and even I don't consider 27 young :D.

but if this does mean that Isla is out, then I'll shall join in the fapfest

Yeah, I took it too far with very young. I don't know for which reason I was thinking he was 23-24. :D

Still, the quality of the player is not a doubt... Impressive league this year with Verona, as a back-up he would be excellent... And he fights hard on the pitch and gives his all in decisive moments, personality player... Other story compared to the turd Isla.

If this means that Pado and isla are out...then fuking go for it. Padoin is just average...and Isla has been royal flop for his price.

But where we will use romulo? At RB not even Caceres gets enought time.

Looking at the YouTube vids,Don't know why his movement when on the ball reminds me of melo. I remember seeing similar attacking play when he was at florence.
