Why do we want this player?

What does he add to the squad? I have no memories of him, and all I hear is "he's versatile."

Does he have any noteable good qualities at all?
We don't need him at all. What we should do is offload Isla and Padoin, add Romulo's cash to what's left in the budget and go for a fucking am/winger we desperately need.

We have Licht and Caceres for RB spot that's enough.

And he fights hard on the pitch and gives his all in decisive moments, personality player... Other story compared to the turd Isla.
Although Isla is not very popular around here, I find it difficult to believe anyone doubts that he fights hard on the pitch and gives his all. The problem lies in the fact he just isn't as good as we thought, he lacks any real quality and has poor decision making.

I find it difficult to believe this, as Isla himself admitted to have self-confidence problems after the injury in Udine... That doesn't mean that he does not give a fuck, but just that he plays like a pussy, and that's the reason I hate him. Have you seen him in the last 2 years? When he has to assist/score, every time his legs shivers and he freezes... You describe him like a poor man Padoin, but he isn't. Have you followed him in Udine and in Chile NT? I suppose not...

There is truth in that, but it's difficult to brand someone as a 'pussy' because they don't throw themselves into challenges after having a serious knee injury. Maybe he is mentally a bit fragile after that situation and even though it's been 2 years it's possible his game is still affected by it.

As for him freezing in good positions, I personally think that not only does he lack confidence but he also has poor decision making and not great ability. For all the games I've watched him for juve, previously at udinese and for chile, even when he takes on shots when he's through on goal most of them are miscued or scuffed and if he tries to pick a key pass, it's normally inaccurate or he's picked the wrong pass.

Either way I've seen him run hard most games, but defensively he's a liability as his positioning is poor and he goes missing on diagonal balls, he doesn't win many challenges and isn't good in the final third. We are in no argument in that his time at juve should be over this summer. Whether we can actually find a buyer, we are yet to find out.

Why are we after this guy and not Darmian? I believe we're covered as for CM and considering Lichtsteiner is taking up his options, now would be the perfect time to go for a proven NT fullback, capable of playing on the left as well?

Romelu offers CM but we're more then covered there! Even if Padoin is leaving!
