But the example of Abtaham in the Quran and akhenaten, shows that the human mind is capable(expression of Divine justice) of attaining the monotheistic conclusion.
The bare existence of monotheism shows that the human mind is capable of attaining monotheistic conclusion. :)
Although i see the Abraham's case as just a story and Amenophis' case wasn't really monotheism, I know that becoming a Muslim in a Christian society with Christian parents is a possibility, just like becoming a monotheist was a possibility in a polytheistic society.

My question from yesterday was provoked by two discussions I had in the last months. Some months ago a friend of mine was convincing me that she'd have been a Christian even if she was born in Arabia to Muslim parents. Few days ago a friend of my brother, who became a devoted Christian after both his parents died in a car accident, was convincing me that if those Muslims in Iran or Yemen get to read the Bible, the things said in the Bible are just too strong, too true, to be ignored and undoubtedly those Muslims will have second thoughts about their religion and eventually become Christian.

I see it as a bunch of crap, but I wondered what does the majority of the religious members here think.

Mate your friends are full of shit that don't see to have a lot of understanding of life in general that way in which nurture affects us or how passionatly other religions feel about their religion. Maybe ignorant is the best way to desribe them.

There is an islamic rumor that Neil Armstrong converted to Islam when he went to the moon.
The rumor (thought of as Fact by most egyptians) says that when he was up there he heard a weird sound (in a language he didnt understand).. he was surprised because sound doesnt travel in space. When he came back to earth, he visited Egypt and he heard the sound of the Azzan (the calling for prayer) and it was the same sound!

There is also another version which says that he looked at earth and saw the holy Kaaba in its center! (Most Muslims believe the Kaaba to be the center of the world, they also know that the earth is a sphere not a disc, they also know that the earth's core is full of lava etc... how they believe all 3 at the same time is a mystery to me)

Armstrong had to actually refute those claims more than once because he kept getting contacted by muslim groups inviting him to events to spread Islam :)

Thats actually really funny, its beyond religion, people can seriously believe any BS if its repeated enough and said in a certain way and by certain people.
