People were ready to kill, die, sacrifice their families in the name of Stalin. Stalin was indeed God for them.

Informbiro period: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Informbiro
Yugoslavia 1948-1953 (1955). Stalin was the God who helped many of those prisoners survive the imprisonment.
Unfuckingbelievable, but true.
It's historical interpretation, but theres more to religion than just fearing a "superior" being's retribution just like irshzebra demonstrated above you can twist stretch facts to describe anything you want; there was no such thing as an established stalin cult with rituals a scripture and a congregation hence no cult no religion. Btw i answered your question to ahmed a few pages back

You can't twist a fact, the truth is abosloute.

Just because its is nit malleable to your view doesn't amke it a fallacy.

Also the Avuncular Cult of Personality around Stalin is definitely a cult, and hanving a symbol of his benevolence in your home sure seems like an established practice.

What I mispelled Absolute? :D

you're cofusing the context of truth and fact.

Anything thats not a Mathematics based theorem can't be a fact, but positing a theorum with evidence is as close as one can get.

BTW contenting that many of the hallmarks of Religion did not exist within Stalins' Russia is absolutley ridiculous.

Maybe you should read up on History.

Are you fucking kidding me? It is scary how little some of you know of world history. How can you debate a theme like this and not have the slightest clue of your own context?
