I don’t like massive spending of the oil clubs. Even so it’s been shown that it doesn’t equate to winning. However, the Super League is just as bad. All it does is ensure everyone in the club can spend outrageously. If you think the super league is an honest to goodness solution to the problems of modern football then…

The way things are going, the EPL will become the Super League anyway. Personally, I think football needs a reboot. With restricted budgets and wages for everyone. Football needs to become a sport again.

The Saudi's will be looking to make an 'impact' though.

A few more bribes to the criminal scumbags at UEFA should do the trick and stop any attempt of regulating budgets.

Besides I'm not sure players would be down with the idea of restricted wages given how PL keeps doubling their TV deal every couple of years.

Super League is needed to break up the EPL monopoly. A duolopy is better than a monlopoly, no?

Would it? Or would it just make it stronger? Adding 100s of millions to teams who already have 100s of millions. Sure Juventus would be “rich” but only on paper, with a market of even more inflated prices, competing with teams who have way more money than they do. Kind of like right now.

Thats why the Super League has to happen without the English. Only then it would be a duopoly.

It would need to be a total break from FIFA, with new rules, salary cap, and a creative format; everyone hates the English just give people a good alternative.

I’m personally a fan of the EPL. They put out a good product that is easy to watch, even in the US. NBC covers it and you don’t need a subscription to follow games.

yes their pundits and fans are annoying but are Italian and Spanish fans much better?

Football is best when there is competition. It won't be fun in the CL when it essentially becomes an FA Cup 2.0.

only if done well, if done in typical Italian or Spanish fashion. it won’t stand a chance
That's why we need Zee Germans to be on board.

A Super League with German Italian and Spanish teams and the Frenchies (excluding PSG) would be a step in the right direction.

UEFA can have their EPL teams and give them a Sevilla or Villareal, and a Roma or Lazio, just to make things interesting.

Ok, they're not bad at it, but the Anglo-Saxons are WAY better.
I think it all depends on the area. Italians are great at fashion, the Germans are great at cars etc

German cars are known all over the world and in high demand, just like Italian fashion brands

Where the English have a clear edge on Germany and Italy is in terms the language. While Germany and Italy have a great history and contributed so much does it hamper them their languages are not spoken outside of Europe bar a small areas here and there. English and Spanish have a clear advantage there
