how's everyone finding the ps4 so far? i swear i have barely touched any pc games since i bought the ps4 with the exception of fm14
I'm loving it. I don't think my PC has ever had as much rest as over the past months. I only have FIFA14 and BF4 so far, but multiplayer keeps me more than busy.

I have to say it does kind of bother me that there are so few quality games as well as little interesting PS4 content in the PS Store though. Even if all these games are being pushed back I would have thought there would be some demos to try them out at least. Also the lack of bluetooth headset support is making me delay buying one and not being able to use it as a mediaplayer kind of bugs me as well...

I guess these are the downsides of getting a console straight away. I do have to say though, that the features and games that are available now work perfectly. It really is a lovely, very fast, device and I just cannot get over how good this new controller is. It will only get better once they update the firmware to include some extra features and add some good games to the line-up.

Still happy I went with the PS4 straight away.

how you finding fifa14? i played some at a friends house on his ps4 and to be honest i wasn't buying all the hype about the graphics, i've been far more impressed by the graphics on nba 2k14 for example. bf4 as much as i like it the stutter and lag just annoys the shit out of me

I know how you feel about the lack of quality games so far but to be honest even though i only have 3 games i'm well entertained and like yourself hardly touched any pc games since i bought the ps4 which is a bit of a shame since i bought quite a few pc games off the steam winter sale. I think my big moan about the ps4 is of course the inability to run off an external hard drive and the lack of content so far for playstation plus, though i expect that to increase over time.

love the controller as well, looks more durable than previous generations but the light on it is so unecessary for most games and i'm sure it is one of the biggest cause of a fast battery run down

Anyone experienced disc ejecting problems? Apparently it's very common.
ejecting from the controller, the button on the machine or both?

I've been reading a lot about it, but I've not experienced any problems with it myself ( nor have any of my friends as far as I'm aware ). Plenty of people who have had issues with it have been able to 'fix' it by swiping the button top to bottom, rather than just swiftly putting their finger on a small part of it. I use my thumb to cover quite a bit of the button and that works fine without having to swipe, so I guess it just needs a solid contact.

There have also been people who have not been able to eject any disks no matter what they did ( using the button or the UI ), but I'm not sure what's going on there. I think they just get new consoles after contacting Sony.

I really like FIFA14, though I agree there are better looking games out there. I just like how smooth it is and feel it's just that next step when it comes to realism looking at how the players move etc. I also really like the menus, silly as that may sound, but they are so much better and easier to navigate.

About BF4: Do you connect your PS4 to the internet with a cable or over wifi? Apart from the odd server that's just really far away ( and me not paying attention to the ping/location when looking for a server ) I haven't experienced any sort of lag or stutter so far. I took the game to a mate's house the other day and had far more problems with it which is almost certainly to do with him using wifi instead of a cable.

Apparently the light barely influences the battery life, or so Sony say. They've also said there won't be an update that allows you to turn it off either, so I guess we'll have to live with that. It looks kind of neat, but I agree it is quite unnecessary.

i run it through wifi, i don't think it is the internet at home, but i've noticed that the lag occurs on certain maps such as hainan resort. but i'll try run it through an ethernet cable but i think it is a more in game issue which is a shame.

It will help, even if only a little. For these kind of multiplayer games you can't beat using a cable. I reckon it'll make more of difference than you might think, or atleast for you I hope it does :xfinger:

I have a little split on mine. But as times going on its kind of blending all in. Kind of looks like it's remoulding itself :shifty: Will post a pic tomorrow.

These new sticks feel a lot better than the old ones, but I had some rubber come off as well. It happened after only a couple of days of gaming, but it hasn't happened since. I've used it plenty so you can barely see it anymore on mine, but I wonder how these sticks will look in a year or so.

Ok just remembered to post mine in. As you can see mines chipped in the middle and it's starting to smooth itself out. It's a lot better than it was before.

Also I'm one of those types who keeps the plastic film still on my things. Also as you can see on my right analog stick I've attached a Kontrol Freek. Mainly for first person shooter.

Waiting for Thief to be released on the 28th. Then I have to finish the game in 14 days because on March the 14th the best fucking game in the whole universe is coming out. Prepare to die!

Where do you buy this kontrol freek from? Is it expensive?
There's a website here in the UK that sell them. You get two in a pack and are around £10-13. There's loads to choose from that suit your style of play.

Choose what best for you as some vary in size. Then order them from anywhere like amazon or something. I found a website called lime something, but for some reason cannot find the PS4 section
