Pirlo, Barzagli and Vidal are all equal for me. If you put a gun to my head and I had to pick one,i'd say Pirlo just edges it. What a signing, a player of his class (best in his position in the world IMO) and for free. He has been immense.

I had to take a few few days to contemplate as this was a really tough one between Pirlo & Barza. Both have been tremendous but for me Pirlo edges it. We added Licht only to our defense & the difference has been day & night. This I attribute to Pirlo taking the responsibility off of the defence. Radiating a calmness that spread the confidence to the defence. To top it all his assists have been jaw dropping. Magnifiqué.

=3. Vidal & Barzagli
=5. Lichtsteiner & Buffon
6. Marchisio

Barzagli for me. Clearly the best & most consistent performer. Followed by Marchisio, Pepe (?!?) & Chiellini.
On the other hand, Pirlo was easily our most important player.
