Pessotto back in Juve role Friday 1 December, 2006

Gianluca Pessotto has today officially resumed his role as Juventus team manager, the club have confirmed.
The former defender is back after he spent the last five months recovering from his serious injuries following his failed suicide attempt.
The 36-year-old has now been passed fit to return to his beloved Bianconeri and the club have welcomed him back with open arms.
“Let us say that our party started when he came to see us in a surprise visit while he was still at the Clinica Fornaca,” stated President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.
“From that moment Gianluca was one of us again. He then started to travel to away games and follow the team.
“He’s had some tough months recently and we stayed close to him. I saw him yesterday and he is in the best possible shape possible.
“I am sure that it will be helpful for everyone that he has close contact with the players, he will help them.”
The former Italian international, capped 22 times by the Azzurri, joined Juventus in 1995 from city rivals Torino.
The Udine-born professional also enjoyed spells at Milan, Varese, Massese, Bologna and Verona before hanging up his boots at the end of last season.
