Juventus team manager Gianluca Pessotto is set to leave the Molinette Hospital in Turin on Tuesday after his dramatic suicide attempt two months ago.

The former Bianconeri player, who hung up his boots in the summer, is said to be recovering quickly and is showing an extraordinary desire to beat his problems.

“The patient’s general condition is excellent and he is also in very good spirits,” read an official note released by the Molinette’s staff.

”Pessotto will be transferred to a private clinic on Tuesday to continue his rehabilitation programme.”

Doctor Marcello De Poli, who has been treating Pessotto over the past month, added that he was impressed with the patient’s attitude.

“He has an extraordinary will,” noted the medic. “Everyone will have a wonderful memory of this man, who proved to be very amiable and friendly.”

The doctors haven’t released any details with regard to the time it will take for the player known as Pessottino to fully recover, but they are hopeful this will happen before Christmas.

Pessotto suffered multiple fractures and was in a critical condition for weeks, after he fell from a window at Juventus headquarters on June 27.

Our Team Manager, Gianluca Pessotto, left Turin’s Molinette hospital this afternoon where he has been recovering since the 27th of June of this year. Gianluca was transferred to Turin’s Fornaca Di Sessant clinic to continue with his rehabilitational treatment and functional recovery. Gianluca Pessotto wishes to personally thank all the directors, doctors and nurses of the Molinette hospital who have looked after him over the last two months with the professionalism and dedication reserved for hundreds of patients each day. :cap:

Pessotto undergoes surgery

This morning Gianluca Pessotto underwent surgery at the Fornaca clinic, Turin. Neurosurgeon, Prof. Franco Benech, carried out the operation to stabilise the vertebral column, injured on the 28th June. Plastic surgeon, Dr. Marco Fraccalvieri, then carried out a skin graft to the base and heel of the right foot. The operations had been planned for a while and were necessary to allow the active and complete movement of the Juventus director. It is likely that Pessotto will be able to stand up by himself, albeit with care, towards the end of next week.

Slowly but surely Pessottino is getting better. Forza Pesso!:pint:

Surprise visit from Pessotto!

Gianluca Pessotto had a wonderful surprise in store for his colleagues and friends. At around one o’clock today he paid a visit to the Juventus HQ, joined by his wife Reana and his great friend and president of La Presse, Marco Durante.
The journey is a short one from the Fornaca clinic, where he has been recovering, to the club’s offices, and seeing as the sun was shining, Pesso made his way there in a wheelchair.
Gianluca arrived at the HQ and was given the warmest of welcomes. He said hello to all his colleagues and friends present, before going to see his office, his desk and the directors: Blanc, Cobolli and Secco toasted the happy surprise with him in the trophy room. Welcome back!

:touched:
