As I mentioned before he was not supposed to start tonight as obviously he was not ready to play.. It`s not like it was his fault that we lost and played dreadfully but still he`s been utter sh*t this season. It seems like he is not the player he used to be after the management pushed so hard to swap him for Lukaku a year ago.
It seems like they knew something we don`t. Even at that time I strongly believed that we are making the right move.
Too bad he hit the brakes on the whole operation
You know he was Serie A player of the year last season and only played 2 games this season after being injured for 5 months?

He’ll never be the player I thought he was gonna become after watching him at Palermo, that bus has left the station. At 28 he’s STILL a player relying on good moments here and there, never really flourished as he could’ve. Nothing to do with last nights match, just based on his entire career.

Like Hazard, Griezman, Pogba, Felix and a hundred other talented players that everybody thought was gonna be the next big thing it just won’t happen for him. I think it’s time we let him go next season.

this isn’t a manager issue, outside of Pirlo telling him to cut this shit out.
Not a surprise, Dybala can only really reach his potential in that slightly off-centre (right) forward position or as the false 9, where he can create a yard of space onto his left foot.

As good as he is when he's fit and in the right frame of mind he's going to remain a tactical conundrum. Now we have Kulusevski who is great at RW, Chiesa who can play both, Morata playing as the CF position he is best in (and doing it well), and the issue of compatibility with Ronaldo remains once he returns. Ronaldo is a different player but fills a similar niche to Dybala from the left side. You can only really cater for one, otherwise you have three strikers instead of a 1.5 strikers/wingers.

I only have more questions when I look at the options. There is a hard answer for this but few people are going to like it.

Too early to judge how his season will go, obviously he is having a slow start after the injury and whatever else he's been up to but so far i'm not yet ready to write him off, as i stated in Pirlo's thread aswell, plenty of time to stir this ship around still, we'll see how it goes when we have a full roaster available and that will also tell us more about where Dybala stands, think we will surely get a better idea about it all by mid December.

Not fit, he should not have started yesterday.

When Dybala's in form, he shines like few others. Sadly the opposite is true as well, when he is out of sorts he really reaches incredible lows.

One thing he lacks compared to other midgets who are successful is explosiveness and strength.

It’s too easy for defenders to push him off the ball and all he can do is fall and hope the ref gives a free which most of the time they wont

We should ask ourselves why 5 years and 3 coaches later we’re still discussing and arguing about his positioning.

It’s obvious the guy prefers to be ina Messi role where he can just roam around and do whatever he wants, but the problem is he’s not Messi. It’d be like Aguero freestyling around the field, just doesn’t work or play to his strengths. He should be in or around the box, always.

Hope he returns but Im starting to think he is a great individual but maybe he is not the best for this team.
What I do know is that the Barca game really got on my nerves and its not just him.

I still just can't dismiss Dybala so easily. While I believe he has reached his potential, which is lower than we thought, it is still a very high level. Just not WC, but almost. Inconsistent almost.
He has the class and brain to improve his game sooner rather than later.
I hope for similar like Thomas Muller revival at later stages of the season.

Last season is not something that we should be proud of. Yes, we won the Scudetto but It was the worst one since 2011. Beside that it`s been awful season. And yes I don`t give a Nickle about last year MVP. It`s not like he did something notable or something worth to remember.
This year so far he has been piss poor. Instead of working hard and fighting for his spot (with teenagers) in the starting 11 He went to Paratici like a little cry baby asking him to always be in first 11 even though not fully fit. Now that he is in the starting 11 his performance are cringe worthy.
If he is demanding a new lucrative contract worth ~ 15 milion per year he should just shut his mouth and deliver, cause right now he is a forward worth not more than a milion per year and nothing more than a sub than somehow managed to get the no.10 shirt in a big club.

Hmm, I would argue that it could be a manager issue. He knows Dybala and Kulu like to flock to the same areas. Both are naturally suited to the right side, cutting in, which isn't a secret to anyone. Obviously there isn't any chemistry there yet, so it's Pirlo's job to predict that and try to make it work.
