these days, some guy on Portugal's bench costs 65m. We ain't doing shit with 120m.
If we're lucky we're getting Higuain. We'd still have a big hole in midfield tho'.
Remember when we had the best midfield in the world, just over a year ago with Pogba, Vidal, Marchisio and Pirlo? Now, we could actually start next season with none of them available for the first game.

The fee wouldn't really be an issue personally i want to see the best players at my club wearing the shirt, it makes no difference if its 10 million or a 100 million the principle of it all sucks a big one though yes. The worst part he would just be another mercenary. Being realistic right now why would he leave you other than the salary, exposure of the league maybe but its not a major factor, wouldn't need to offer so much if he wanted to join.

It doesn't make sense, you don't gamble all you got for one chance to win the CL, it is either a continuous project to be a contender year in year out or nothing of the sorts is guaranteed. If they are convincing Pogba to stay for only one year to win the CL then he wil definitely not be convinced and would prefer to settle in another team, in that case United, one season without CL football then start firing all engines from the next season onwards. One shot for the CL is never a convincing project, anything can happen and we have seen it many times how really good teams exit the tournament to inferior teams, it's all circumstances and chance. When you offer continuity and give it several chances it is then that one year comes.
