Meh, at this point in football if we want to hold on to World Class talent and buy more to compliment them we'd need to sell to ambitious, rich owners. Not rich Italian businessmen who have these long term plans about making some profit and investing modest amounts into the odd prospect/30 something players.

None of this is a surprise... football is a profession. So it's normal that someone strives to make the most money possible and with an organization with the highest status possible. You can't expect someone to behave irrationally. Juve's challenge is to reach a place where Juve is a rational destination for WC players. The club isn't there right now.

Makes me laugh because if he goes to Real Madrid he probably starts to stagnate. It happened to Bale, because he just becomes one of Ronaldo's supporting cast. Real Madrid is just an example how the whole is worse than the sum of the parts, where as other teams (like Atletico) are the opposite. Barca in 2010-2013 were so impressive because the whole was greater than the sum of the parts, but the the sum of the parts was world class.

Mino needs to shut up though. He's taking away our leverage by putting a time line on this crap. We need to shut him up by winning the Champions League this year. We could...

Madrid won CL and cup last year and lead la Liga this season. I don't see how they're doing anything wrong lol.

In La Liga, technique is the key. If you're great technically, you will thrive. If your technique is questionable, you will get found out. Bale is awful technically and he's been exposed... On the other hand, Modric, Kroos and James are flourishing with their superior technique. Pogba is exceptional technically so i don't see how he would falter.

Raiola became PR bitch instead of agent - Ibra is old, Balotelli is finished, Mkhitaryan is underperfoming, Lukaku has signed for Everton in summer, so except Pogba he have no players to sell to earn big money from, that's why he is only talking about Pogba in his interviews for 24/7 now

Zidane and Ronaldo were sweeping everything for a few years too and neither of them had the kind of consistent output in terms of goals or assists as messi and ronaldo. The current guys are breaking and will continue to break every single record out there because they are phenomenal athletes with massive talents.

The efficiency of both players is arguably unprecedented and they make every other player look mediocre. If you graph all the players across generations, messi and ronaldo will probably be outliers. We are witnessing something truly special with these guys. The media and fan environment around them is what makes them unlikeable but in terms of football these two are insane.
I completely disagree. First because a few years is not almost a decade, cause let's be honest they will win again next year and the next, and the next... A
few years is normal, it's when a player is at his peak it's always been like that. No matter if from Cruyff times or at Platini's. But then there was always new talent to challenge them and actually be better than them.

Second that when Zidane started winning it Football didn't have as much talent to offer anymore. Take that Brazilian generation Ronaldo, Rivaldo, etc out and what's left? Beckham? Figo? ffs.

We're not witnessing anything "special". they're breaking records because of the lack of overall quality that makes them look like Gods among men. You're being fooled by this.

It's sad to see him think that he needs to move to a ''big'' club but honestly it is true and it's not about us as much as it's about the league we are in.

I also don't want to go through the discussion about how we are financially inferior to the current big ones (Chelsea, City, Utd, Madrid, Barca, Bayern, PSG) and how his current salary wouldn't be enough for the ball boy in one of these clubs.

But let's face it, if he wants to win the UCL then he needs to leave, if he wants to win the Ballon D'OR then he needs to leave because there is no way a Serie A player is winning that for the next 10 years at least unless there is a Champions league title which is not coming to Italy anytime soon.

Yes he needs to leave, back in the day when we sold Zidane we were much more powerful financially and had a much stronger reputation and it was normal for us to go into the UCL expecting to win, yet we still sold him, today we have nothing except for the hopes of reaching the QTR final.

Bizzare to call yourself a football fan and say we aren't witnessing anything special for past 6-7 years with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Have to be special kind of hater to deny what historical players they are.

I'd rather sell Vidal and use that money to keep Pogba and give us enough money combined with our transfer budget to remodel the attack of our team. Even though selling either would break my heart but Pogba has so much more to give he's barely in his 20's ffs

Honestly, I don't see how 100m can improve this team significantly while losing Pogba.

If we are to sell him to Real, the deal should include Isco+ Marcelo+ cash.

If we are to sell him to PSG, the deal should include Cavani but I don't see how we could afford his wages.
