Two season is A LOT specially for a 20 year old player. Pogba will progress a lot in two years, and to say selling him in two years will not have an impact on us from a sporting perspective is absolute shocking (was gonna turn into Zach there and call you peasant :p ) to me, Pirlo is aging so we'll need to change tactics and who is better to build a team around other than a 20 year old phenom?

Anyways, in my opinion loosing Pogba I see us loosing more than just euro signs, we will be loosing a star player that has the sky set as his limit.
In a sense ,we still can maintain our shape and we can act like nothing has happened because we are losing a prodigy not a key player.Look at Roma, they lost Marquinhos who would've gone on to become a Silva for them but have they actually regressed ? No they havent. Is his loss affecting them ? No it isnt. They have moved on restructured their team and doing well.

I'm not comparing Pogba to Marquinhos in terms of importance. But with that money we can restructure our team, add quality and still be a winning team. And by the time,we have spending power ,we can aspire for greater things without selling anyone else.

And it doesnt necessarily have to be replacing him. What if we sign a quality winger and a quality creative midfielder with that money ? We'd actually more potent, and our defensive shape would still be great too.Pogba will go on to become one of the world's best midfielders but seriously dont act like he is going to carry us on our shoulders in the future.

Despite all this ,my first choice is retaining him but i wont lose sleep or anything over losing him, as i have faith in the think-tank of the management. They know what they're doing. Its just a debate at the end of the day but i know tuzzers who will ignore most of my post and will be calling for my head.

I believe that would be a huge mistake. And I don't want Verrati anywhere nears this club. This is kinda turning into hatred towards him, I really really really don't want a regista. I want a goddam trequarista!! And a beast of a midfield and a poacher a la Trezeguet is it too much to ask?! And one side order of Mauro too please.
Agreed registas are becoming unheard of and to trade pogba who is a 100000x better than verrati just to continue on with this defensive formation is not a smart move.

If we were to sell pogba around 20m would have to go a new cm along with the fact that we are short on cms already. Im not saying that the money for the replacments would come directly from the sale of pogba but at a certain point if you sell him for say 40m you womt get much in return besides weakening one of our strongest areas of the field and being able to purchase a winger or cam.

Nobody but Ale can carry us on his shoulders.

Anyways, a Camoranesi and a Totti would be nice in exchange of Pogba. Can't stick around for too long gotta pack a lunch for work I'm broke can't buy shit at the food court.

Verratti is not the typical regista, he is much more similar to Xavi than to players like Pirlo or Xabi Alonso.

That is quite the exaggeration.

Lets just assume that scenario posted by JuveJay last page.

Asamoah,Marchisio,Vidal,Verratti and Nainggolan as our mids.

A quality LWB we've been lacking for so long or a quality RW not fodder ones.More creativity, more potency in attack,at the same time able to maintain the defensive shape of the team.Think again.

I hope Verratti is indicted in a child rape case, and sent to prison for a minimum of 10 years, effectively ending his career, so I never have to hear about these BS rumors linking us with this inferior vermin vulture faced fuck in exchange for our superior black stallion.

Okay so verrati+30m for pogba. Problem is nainggolan cost what around 18. So lets assume we have a budget of like 10m this summer. Do you think that given our problems in europe we would only target a lwb?

Even slightly better can make the difference between win or loss, Pogba is clutch Verratti is not. No matter how well Verratti orchestrates the play I can't see him scoring Pogba's goals or Pirlo's freekicks which in the recent past have been the difference between wins and draws.

He is excellent at hitting through balls, which is something we seriously lack and is as valuable as Pogba's goals or Pirlo's freekicks.

Seriously, you guys should watch Verratti play, he has been great this season.

He's hitting them at Ibra and Cavani, we'll need a striker like that to compensate then. Our strikers aren't that good and we are dependent on midfielder to share the burden of scoring.

They probably wont even sell Verratti or include him in a swap as he's been too important for them and their main creative outlet.

It's pretty simple in my mind: Pogba will leave if he and Mino want it to happen. Nothing else (apart from a crazy bid) will make it happen - not Verratti not another player swap or some extra mils.
