“Pirlo is a champion who can’t be equalled and there is nobody in Italy, even if some are getting better, with his characteristics, his direction or who can give such peace of mind to the squad," stated the Coach.
“That being said, Pogba can fill the vice-Pirlo role. He already did that last season and, if there is the need, he can mask the absence of Andrea even if they have different characteristics.
“Paul is a modern midfielder who can play in any midfield role because of his physique, fitness and his ability to break into attack.
“He is a complete player, although one who still has big margins of improvement to make.”

he plays with barca ;(

I never play with Juve in FM. I don't have the heart to replace more than 1-2 from the starting eleven. So it gets kinda borring after a couple of seasons when you're to sentimental to replace any vital players.

When I play, I usually take a team I have no relations to so I can wreck their entire squad and not feel guilty about it.

This is what i was suspecting. And its logical. He is not Pirlo but we can change oour tsctics a little to use him vidal and marchisio at the sam time when Pirlo is not around.

People need to remember that he is a complete midfielder. He will have no problem to adjust as a regista, and the best pf it is that, unlike Pirlo, Pogba is a pitfighter that can tackle and track peeps down when not in possession, but turn into an attacking force with the ball at his feet. Also, since he is younger, i think that Conte can demand much more from him than to Pirlo, physically speaking.

We lose some of the Pirlo magic, but we can potentially gain some more stability on midfield with him.

This. Pogba is probably the most complete young player in the game today. Pirlo is an absolutely magical player but Pogba can do it all. He can tackle, shoot, head, pass and dribble. As good as Pirlo is at evading tackles, there is always the odd time he gets caught that leads to real problems. On the other hand, I saw Pogba outmuscle 3 guys at the same time during the Samp game and escape with possession. It's the fact that Pogba can be so dangerous in so many different ways that he is the logical heir to that DLP role that Pirlo now possesses. Sure, you're not gonna get the inch-perfect super pass every time the ball leaves his foot, but you also have the added danger of him dribbling through your whole D, unleashing a cannon or just opening up playing by taking on 2-3 guys at once.

Different sort of player for sure, but Pogba will be a beast in this position. For me it's his natural role.

He doesn't have to play it anything like Pirlo, he is not limited to playing as just a playmaker, and his physical attributes mean he can move up and down the field with more regularity. You may see another CM option hold position when this happens. Actually, Asamoah would be very suitable at this.

Hasn't Pogba played as a regista for U-20 France? Anyway Vidal-Pogba-Marchisio can work for sure. If Pogba wanted to push up Marchisio or Vidal would fall back. Pogba is the future. We dont need Veratti, we simply have to change the tactics and allow Pogba to dictate play or maybe liek Bonucci. Also Tevez and Vucinic have amazing link up play, and Tevez likes to drop deep so I dont think creativity will be a problem. The only problem I see is Pogba is still not the best when it comes to closing down shots and stuff but neither is Pirlo. I would love to see this, and at this current moment I think Pirlo will continue to play but I think Pogba deserves to play in this role while Pirlo needs rest and Marchisio returns

Yup he played there for france. And you could notcie his approach to the game ws different from the one seeing at juev. In the U21 WC, he stayed deep most of the game.

He only needs to pay attention at his positioning.. because if he wants to join offensive futies..he should pay close attention to counter attacks.
