Pogba is a star player and will gradually get star salary from the team, its as simple as that. He is with Vidal our biggiest commodity, so there is no logical way to downplay his importance for the near future of this club, and what we will be needing to do to keep him, and reward him for his quality.

It's only means that Marchisio is not ready yet, but against Germany he was perfect, will see who will start vs. Livorno
yeah, you're right.

So a jump from 600k to 4m is fine in your eyes when the likes of tevez, llorente, pirlo and vidal will be the only ones making more
I think you're stuck on his age since you mention 4 other players who make more and yet have no problem with them doing so. he's one of our best players and needs to be paid accordingly.

I agree he deserves an increase but I think that possibly putting him at 4m would only eventually force him to wanting more and possibly putting us out of the race and being forced to sell him

And giving him less money means he's going to stay longer? He's not an idiot, he knows how much he's worth and he has an agent that I'm sure reminds him all the time.

I know what you're saying. But do you think Marotta is going to offer him 4m? I think that is false because not too long ago it was reported that he was going to get 2.5m and now its 4

Build up a relationship with the guy, and most important, his agent.

Tell him : look, we believed in you and allowed you to be where you are now
then go like : here , we dont have alot, but have this 5 mil wage as a sign of our trust.

in 3 years, improve it to 6-7mil if he's worth it relative to the team.

Make him have many reasons to feel we went 100% for him, and he might just decide to stay here

Yes but we arent a club yet who can offer wages over 5m in the future yes but as of now I still think its too much I think 3m is fine
why not? the likes of Buffon who is/was our highest earner is already taking pay cuts with age, there for we can afford to pay our up and coming players a bit more, someone like Pogba who is a very special player certainly earns a significant increase.

Not just Buffon's wage cuts but cutting loose of players like melo and Iaquinta will have freed up some significant wages

I don't think that will work,

Judging by his haircut and other aspects, I doubt he is a player that treasures loyalty.
