He is a fucking freak of nature. It's such a pleasure watching him compete. Very likeable guy too.
yeah he's a rock star. never seen a track & field athlete control a sold out 80k seat stadium, and after the 800m women final, all the crowd stayed to watch him because there was simply nothing else going on. and the rivalry between him and the rest is nice to see too. when you're a 6m guy, 4th best ever of your sport (and kendricks is indeed the 4th best ever outdoors) and you're still bound to lose, you could either be salty about it, or recognize the greatness and aim for the silver. it's actually nice to see that even his rivals love him a lot.

also what an image:

Have those countries been cheating to win medals? News to me. What the Chinese have or haven't been doing is shady at best.

Also, football is a technical sport and so doping isn't going to do anything if all your players are crap lol. Even the Chinese have figured this out by now.

Marion Jones and her husband cheated to win, and they were elite athletes. I'm quite sure Carl Lewis was a serial cheater. Lance Armstrong was a cheater for well over a decade - I mean, it's baffling how long it took them to figure it out: a man with one testicle consistently blowing away the competition. Yes, it wasn't swimming, but they were all elite level US athletes, so there's nothing to suggest that it can't extend to swimming as well.

Obviously, the Chinese and the Russians have cheated before, but there is no reason to discredit the Chinese swimmer for what he has accomplished. The Straya Cunt is just a pathetic salty sack of shit. Here's a thought: maybe the faggot should train harder next time.

When the Americans and Australians win in the pool, all is right in the world it seems; however, when they're not the ones winning, something must be awry. It's this sense of entitlement that it makes it so easy to want them to fail (and I actually like some of the swimmers for both nations).

I'm not sure if having just one testicle has any impact on performance.

And I don't know if you followed cycling back then, but there was alway suspicion around Armstrong. From his very first Tour win there were rumours about doping and they really intensified with the second win in 2000. In almost every press conference or interview there were questions about doping. Filippo Simeoni already testified in 2001 that he had been doping under the guidance of Michele Ferrari, who also worked with Armstrong. It's not that they didn't figure it out, it's that they had no proof.

So historical cheating? I think every country has examples, but surely those caught are not the same as those who are probably cheating and get away with it, isn't that the point? I've also no doubt that all sport has hidden cheats that got away with it.

The issue is current Chinese irregular results, some of these athletes have twice failed drug tests. Do you think CHINADA is impartial? I certainly don't. It's China ffs. Chinese people don't even know about these allegations because they are completely censored in the country. But at the same time there is political posturing between WADA and USADA/US government because it is Chinese athletes, no doubt.

So you have a recent upturn in results for Chinese swimmers running alongside some very dodgy looking results that CHINADA has said are OK, and WADA has backed them. The Americans, imo rightly, are concerned about Chinese influence over WADA (because they'd rather have this position). And this is a country that has systematically doped before, in the 90s with the same sudden upturn in results, a country who have previously applied state-sponsored doping. A country who employed proven East German dopers to develop their swimming program back in the day. Forgive me for not believing this country.

So it's quite easy for the Chinese swimmers under scrutiny to pose with their gold medals and post "haters gonna hate LOL" on their social media but we've seen this all before, these are genuine concerns. It's not all east v west power plays. Russia systematically doped. China may be doing it too in certain areas. But in a country of a billion with their methods of coaching they will have some talent for sure.

Of course there should be scrutiny and doubt. I'm not proclaiming that the Chinese are always virtuous and honest (Lulz). However, this kid has performed admirably and won, at least as far as we know. There's no need for the Australian swimmer to sound like a sour grumpy cunt immediately after he received his silver medal, and for his coach to come out with baseless accusations.
