To win a gold medal at the Olympics is always great, but Duplantis broke the world record and Hodgkinson won a pretty slow race. That was 3 and a half seconds slower than the world record and not even among the top 60 results of all time.

No, but I think he will run under 19.30 and that's sensational too.

But 19.19? That's more than a tenth of his personal best of 19.31.

Long distance races have more nuance than shorter distances, as the time has less importance and runners focus on their competitors. The tactics come into play of the group with occasionally slow early laps.

She won the race comfortably and pulled an extra gear in the last 100m. It was an impressive performance from a young runner.

Duplantis was superb.

Did you see his acceleration yesterday? He was 8th at 60 meters. I want the record to stay with Bolt but it's a feeling Lyle will break it.
