Zdenek Grygera is in Turin. Yesterday morning the Ajax defender, accompanied by Alessio Secco and team manager Gianluca Pessotto, reached the Stadio Olimpico to undergo the medical tests of doctor Riccardo Agricola. The central defender has not, however, signed his contract yet. But it's just a detail as the deal has already been reached with the player and for the signature the green light is expected from the player's agent. Next week player and agent will be back in Turin to finish off the deal by putting pen to paper.
Grygera will stay at Juventus for four years and will earn two million euros per season, whereas now he earns 800 thousand euros at the Dutch club. It will be an important reinforcement for a Juve squad who want to earn a place in Europe as they return to Serie A next season. The objective is to play in the Champions League after only one year back in Serie A. For now the Bianconeri have made two signings for free. Other than the Czech defender we shouldn't forget the acquisition of Hasan Salihamidzic, a very capable midfielder of Bayern Munich who has been doing really well and who continues to impress in the Bundesliga.
