Don't know which one he's best but he said he preferred the center.
I've never seen Grygera playing as a centre back. But, he is a good right back, a position where we desperately need a player to fill. As Brindelli's form is getting from bad to worse, Zebina is better as a centre back despite being clumsy sometimes and Balzaretti is a left footed. Besides, with the presence of Salihamdizic, I think that the right back position is now secured.

Still, we need two centre defenders to be fielded as starters. That's why I was asking whether Grygera would be good in the center as well as the right or not.

And Zebina isn't a centre back either. So we're still stuck with nobodies in the middle...

respect for boum & giorgio
Exactly. But our right side defense is covered pretty decently. I don't think it is any secret that our primary weakness is in our central defense. Hense the reason for so much discussion over that position on these boards.

Czechs missing defender Grygera

Ajax's Zdenek Grygera sits out the Wales clash with a knee injury
The Czech Republic will be without Zdenek Grygera for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Wales on 2 June.

The 27-year-old Ajax defender, who will move to Juventus when his contract expires next month, injured his left knee in last March's match with Cyprus.
