Juventus choose to wait for Ajax's Grygera

Juventus have decided against meeting Ajax's £500,000 asking price for Ajax defender Zdenek Grygera.
The Czech Republic international has already committed himself to a pre-contract with Juve, which had explored the possibility of signing the player this month.
But Ajax's asking price was deemed too rich and instead Grygera will visit Juve's front office next week, along with agent David Nehoda, to sign his contract ahead of moving to Turin in June on a Bosman.
Meanwhile, Juve have sent Uruguayan midfielder Tomas Guzman on-loan to fellow Serie B club Spezia for the rest of this season.

I'm confused. I read Juve were offering 700,000 to get him immediately but that Ajax were demanding much more. Here it says that Juve aren't willing to 500,000 for him
