PSG has spent 85m this year, maybe less given the circumstances of Donnarumma. 100m last year. 250m the year before that. They've splashed out for younger talents for years and I suspect they will continue below 100m the forthcoming years. If we could resume the strategy that lasted for a few months to look for talents rather than has-beens and maybe's then we might also return in some fashion in a few years. Get the best coaches, facilities and poach as many potential star players (not potential serie a players, because we don't make a lot of money from them in comparison). Instead of signing Giuntuli's and datadatadata's, give back the reins to the people we've shipped away to Lille, Sevilla and what-not. Every mercato in hindsight turns out to be a fiasco, for a long time now - regardless of decision makers. Regardless who is at the helm it also seems we are targetting more or less the same Milik's as before. Like the shopping lists change hands and the poor abilities to generate sales and sales for a reasonable price.
I hate PSG but the moves they've made the past five-or-so years have been really smart. Cred to Enrique too ofc.
Will be really interesting season this year with so many managerial changes and rooster changes. Milan, Napoli, and Inter look stronger than us. Roma will be interesting under Gasperini, and will compete with us and the rest for the fourth spot. I am not convinced by Juric and guess Atalanta are looking for a middle-year and a more suitable long-term solution to take over next year.
