It's incredible.

With every other player that is consistently poor over a 150 game run, we'd say he's just a poor player. With Fags there's always an excuse:

- "Oh he was poor, but it was just international football.".
- "He didn't play well, but the players around him were bad."
- "He was bad, but Allegri didn't put him in his preferred role."
- "Yeah he sucked, but he was scared because he went to an illegal betting agency controlled by the mafia to bet on Serie A games and he lost a lot of money and is now in debt to the mafia and he's scared they're going to break his legs".

This guy just sucks. It's time to move on. It's not happening.

Also, Pirlo was one of the best to ever play football and Fagioli sucks ass.
lmaooo you dont know ball at all. Imagine if we judged players ability based on their national team appearances

i might be wrong since i am not a old dinosaur like crimmy or b81, but wasn't that also when ancelotti switched him from playing am to deep lying playmaker?

one of you old people come explain.
It wasn't Ancelotti.

It was Mazzone.

Which incidentally is proof that Pirlo was operating at a far higher level than Fagioli at the same age. It's downright criminal to compare the two.

6 Serie A appearances, 0 goals.

Which is to be expected as he averages 1 Serie A goal a season.

He's an attacking midfielder ffs.

And it's not like he has a dozen assists either. It's three, four a season. What does he do? He doesn't defend, but he doesn't attack either.

He's an appalling excuse for a player and we will be much better off without him.

And he did manage to record 10games and 2 assists that season. Again. Chill.
I agree, that so far Fagioli has made nothing to be compared with the all time great like Pirlo. having said that, Pirlo was not exactly setting the world on fire at this age too.

You're confused.

When Mazzone changed Pirlo's position, he had already achieved more than Fagioli.

The season before Inter (yes, Inter, in case you're wondering) bought Pirlo, he played for Brescia as well. He managed 4 goals over the course of that Serie A season, which is a tally higher than Fagioli over his 4 seasons at Juventus combined. Pirlo was 19 at that point. Fagioli is 23.

There is nothing to suggest that Fagioli is an attacking midfielder of Serie A level, let alone Juventus.

The mere fact I have to talk about this is an insult to Pirlo. It's comparing Brazilian Ronaldo to Andy Carroll. I mean, yes, technically both have played at the highest level, but they are not the same.

Sure. Then FIF member "Seventeen" proclaimed that Pirlo is no Bepe Meazza, because he scored 0 goals in 40 games, Serie B is his level and he should fuck off.
Once again i would urge to chill and stop exaggerating.
And let's stop the confusion about the positions. Pirlo, in that legendary 4 goal season, played in the following possitions: SS 14games, AM, 9games, LW 2 games.
Fagioli this season: CM 5games, AM 2games, DM 1game. Last season: CM 8games. And the season before: CM 28games, AM 3games, DM 1game.

At the very least let's stop the Fagioli- AM narrative.

He was on progress before suspension, I recall he awarded as MVP Under 23. He's stopped since then, yet still his movement, passes and vision is excellent, the only problem is that he's a bit slow when he carrying the ball that I think he's getting better with more game time.

Well, fine.

But Fagioli's not doing anything constructive from a CM or DM position either. Tonali is of similar age and the difference is night and day.

As much as people seem to like Fagioli here, he's just not the kind of player we should be betting on. Maybe he can be part of an extensive roster, use him as a rotation player. But frankly I see him as too expensive and too prima donna for that particular role.

Fair enough, Tonali seems to be level above him at the moment.
As for the price- Fagioli has one of the lowest salaries in the team. Beating only Gatti, Weah, Perin and a few more. Maybe there is an extension comming with the salary increase, not sure about that. I'm sure Tonali earns 2-3 times more though.

I see what you did there.
