winning duels kept rabiot in the team for years. that was his main asset, nobody was as physical as him

fagioli in rabiot's body would be a straight out unstoppable player in modern football
Yeah but Fagioli’s performances would overal be a lot better than Rabiots, even if he’s physically weaker and wins less ground duels.

Notice that this season in penality kick Fagioli is given a different role. Instead of standing still, he moves in advance, entering the box as if he's using a run-up.This gives him advantage of a rebound shot over the defenders.

Not a new thing but this must be from Motta's coaching. The devil is in the details.
Now @Lion this nigga trying to take your noticing job

Lol at the translation

Promoted with full marks Nicolò Fagioli after the test against Leipzig. A former Juventus midfielder spoke about him, namely Alessio Tacchinardi, who during the live broadcast of BN LIVE, on the IlBianconero Youtube channel, commented on the use of the player by Thiago Motta: "I have the feeling that in the middle of the field he saw that he needed a little faster, clean in the exit that is Fagioli".
Tacchinardi: "Fagioli reminded me of Pirlo"

"Juve more fluid with him. Locatelli was perhaps the best, but maybe he thought he needed more quality, to put something more. This bean is impressing me, in a somewhat schooly Juve it gives you unpredictability. Fagioli so makes her sing the ball, I thought I was seeing Pirlo again in that game".

Flattering but an incongruent comparison. Pirlo operated differently. Silk, vision, poise, and skill.

Fags is more agile and athletic. Using his body avoid challenges in order to distribute passes.

I’m glad he and Loca are beginning to display their real potential finally

this is the trick Allegri's team got fooled last year vs Naple, it was so amateurish from Allegri staff (whole opposing team did this - Raspadori scored). Calzona did this with his Slovakia team all the time and they didnt even prepare our players properly for it. I guess its better to finally have a coach who prepares such tricks rather than beign fooled by them.

He was poor. But it's ok because fuck international football.
It's incredible.

With every other player that is consistently poor over a 150 game run, we'd say he's just a poor player. With Fags there's always an excuse:

- "Oh he was poor, but it was just international football.".
- "He didn't play well, but the players around him were bad."
- "He was bad, but Allegri didn't put him in his preferred role."
- "Yeah he sucked, but he was scared because he went to an illegal betting agency controlled by the mafia to bet on Serie A games and he lost a lot of money and is now in debt to the mafia and he's scared they're going to break his legs".

This guy just sucks. It's time to move on. It's not happening.

Also, Pirlo was one of the best to ever play football and Fagioli sucks ass.

I dunno, I've been impressed with him this season for the most part. Even if it turns out he's a guy who needs a specific role and setup to thrive it's worth keeping him because when he's good he's great.

Indeed was lackluster when comparing to just about every other Italia were playing well. Player that really impressed me was Tonoli after being off so long. For me other than Di Lorenzo could have been MOTM. Guess he's gotten over his betting issue better than Fagioli.

Tonali has also been the better and more established player before all of this.
