consider this: instead of throwing to Reche Caldwell, Brady had jerry Rice. And as for refereeing blunders two come to mind the blatant interference in the end zone on Brown that wasnt called and the ridiculous roughing the passer penalty in the last drive. Still i think the colts deserved to win.
Lenvil Elliott
Bill Ring
Freddie Solomon
Earl Cooper
Know who some of these guys are??
They are the Starting Running Back, FullBack, #1 Wide Receiver, and Tight End that Montana had for targets when he won his first Super Bowl back in 1982. His only legit weapon was Dwight Clark, who by the way, made, I believe, 1 pro bowl in his entire career.
Super Bowl #2
He had 2 rookie runningbacks in Roger Craig and Tom Rathman, Carl Monroe, Dwight Clark, Renaldo Nehemiah, and an over the hill Russ Francis as his primary targets.
Again, its not like he was blessed with superior talent around him when he won those first two super bowls.
Jerry Rice came onto the scene a year later, and John Taylor was the year after that.
So, you say "Reche Caldwell", I say "Freddie Solomon". You say "Troy Brown", I say "Dwight Clark". Pretty even right there, I would say.
