True story:

I once came across a blind man by the name or Marco Stratelliondoagiose on the streets of New York. He was weak and had seen better days, but nonetheless, was quick with a light of my smoke. When asked how he knew I was a smoker, he quickly retorted with, "Moratti, that cheap prick, he is a worthless cafone."

I have seen Sicilian ultras in the heat of it..they are nasty but their lack of a bigger reaction to the racist stereotype t-shirt speaks volumes about what level they are on vis-a-vis West Ham who have reacted despite being the one pushing insults.
how on earth was those tshirts racist? :confussed:

Martin: these developments have been predicted on the European front the minute the Soviet Empire collapsed. The theory is this: based on historical analyses, it is inevitable that great powers without competition turn rotten (in a nutshell).

Basically the USA is the new USSR, without the communism (Vinnie this is when you sigh of relief).

Racism: Racism is prejudice or discrimination based on the belief that race is the primary factor determining human traits and abilities.

They stereotype Sicilians but border on racism claiming all Sicilians are mobsters..

Allow me to tell you a story Fliakis:

A young Father once sat his son down and re-iterated names to him:

Joe DiMaggio, Frank Sinatra, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Arturo Toscanini, Louis Prima, Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Deniro, Salvatore Giuliani, Salvatore Quasimodo (nobel prize recipient), Sonny Bono, Giuseppe Tornatore, Giovanni Falcone....
The Father then explained "these men are all Sicilian...unfortunately not many people know that...they know or would rather know about Mafiosi and Criminals...never forget the pride...never forget the contribution."

My Father was that Father ....and I was that boy....I have never forgotten I never will :pint:

(Shout out to Silvio Berlusconi for allowing me to use his story: modify it and adopt it as my own)

Why do I sense a superiority complex amongst Italians? Is it just pride? Cause I see nothing wrong with that, but at times it seems to be a superiority complex. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i know what you're trying to say, its just that sicillian isnt a race..
You're right to say that it isn't racism. By Nick's own definition it isn't racism.

It is using stereotypes to make fun of a nationality or ethnicity. It may be mean and rude and even out of line but it certainly isn't racism.
