You simply don't want a World Cup to be held on a continent whose footballing nations were horrendous in the previous World Cup. And besides, the USA moving on to play Brazil, where we would be eliminated, would not generate as much interest as you expect. Having an African nation make waves in this tournament is only good for FIFA and their up coming 2010. Like I said, FIFA has survived without the US for years; I'm sure they can survive without us in the future.

yeah but i just dont see how that matters; the things organizers look for are infrastructure and hospitality. As for Africa and being horrendous just look at the last world cup with Asia. You saw it Andy everyone and their mother was hyping the US team and its potential to possibly go all the way, had that come about I think the world's biggest GDP would have gotten bigger and FIFA a lot richer.

By the way, it may not seem that way but from what I saw I think Ghana deserved to go through.
They deserved to go through but not with 6 points. As I said before the game should have ended 1-1 with Ghana going on and the US regrouping and hoping for a better draw next time.

He plays for an Isreali club team. Some of those fans came to the Czech Rep game. So he showed his love for his club.

Pippo should have scored two goals today if not hattrick, but who cares now that Italy are in the 2nd round....

I say Totti off to the bench Dp on to the pitch.

I've had enough of Francesco so far.
    DP can't play with PIPPO...

Pippo has done more and created more opportunities for himself than DP, Totti, Gila and Toni combined have thus far....

Oh man, this blows, the team I left will play against a first and a second division team in the preparation in a cup they only reached thanks to my goal.

Yes, more Mulder and Borst would have been better. I'm a bit disappointed with Borst to be fair as well. He hasn't been very histerical so far. They should have thrown Van Gaal in :D.
LOL yeah gorgeous combination. Mix in a little Co Adriaanse and you've got a riot on your hands

Why Dp can't play with Pippo?

As I've said before Pippo should be a starter, this guy knows where to find himself and knows where to be. Gila-Toni partner-ship showed perfectly that it can't work, It's time for both of them to sit on the bench and let Pippo do the show.
