will torino and juventus be sharing this stadium?
or is it for juventus only?

the stadium looks nice, but a seating capacity of only 40,000 for a club of juventus's size.that dissapoints me.yes the fans will be close to the stadium, but a club of our size shud have a bigger seating capacity.
we're JUVENTUS..we're not WEST HAM UNITED:fero:we shud seat MORE PEOPLE!!
40,000 is a JOKE!!:fero:

Well, I read that Turin are also building their stadium so that clears out our problem with them...:D

40,000 is okay I guess but for the CL matches..I'm guessing you need to book a place as fast as you can ;)

Torino is already rebuilding the communale. 40.000 is not very much but if you look at our attendances now I don`t think our management will biuld a bigger stadium.
The rebuilding of the delle alpi should already have started this summer but it didn`t. Perhaps we are waiting if Italy gets the euro 2012 and then we perhaps don`t have to pay te whole reconstruction with our money.

I prefer a 40 or 50k that is full to a 70k stadium with 25k fans. If I watch our matches at the moment and see all the empty seats I somehow get sad. I am always thinking how great the atmosphere would be with an english style football stadium without running track.

FWIW, our average home attendance back in our 2003 CL year was about 41k. And Serie A attendance almost across the board has dropped since.

still,40k:fero:
all big clubs across europe have stadiums which seat 50k plus.
we;ll have an even smaller stadium than those man utd bastards:fero:

wtf!!
40k is too small for a club of our size, seriously!!

Why do we need a 70k stadium when it is never full?
I agree with Zlatan, we never fill our stadium as it is, only when the big teams on the big occassion arrive. Im up for reducing the delle alpi but to around 45,000 50,000 max. Least our fans will be nearer the pitch. Our fans are one of the best in terms of producing atmosphere. Imagine what noise they'll make nearer 'the boys'? Intimidating stuff! Love it!!:D

Yes, our fans make a lot of noise but it is very hard to create a good atmosphere in a stadium like the delle alpi. the fans are far away from the field and there are so many empty seats. if we have a stadium without a running track the atmosphere will be 10 times better.

40.000 are not much for one of the biggest clubs in the world but with our low attendance now i don`t think we will build a stadium with 50 or 60k. that would be more than twice of our average attendance. the attendance will deffinately rise with the new stadium and i think we will fill a 40.000 stadium but if you look at the last years the delle alpi was nearly never sold out and there didn`t often come more than 50.000 spectators.(perhaps 2 or 3 times per year)
we won`t build a stadium with a capacity we only need 2 or 3 times in a season. that is just too expensive.
it will be hard to get tickets for the big matches but on the other side it will be great to see a full delle alpi also against small teams.
if we build a stadium for 50 or 60k and the average attendance rises to 35-40.000, in the games against smaller teams we will again have 20-30k empty seats.
A great stadium that is often full with a great atmosphere for 40k is okay for me. I would also prefer to have a 60k stadium that is always full but juve just has more fans in the south than in torino.

I just would like to know why our attendances were falling that much. 5 years ago they were much higher.

 :wallbang: zlatan, i thought U knew more about this!!!! dont u guys KNOW that the reason why our stadium aint FULL is because the fans thinks its TO far from the pitch... and can u really blame them, another reason is the prices of a ticket... anyway the real reason is that its to far from the pitch, soooooo if we build a new stadium (english style) without a running track, then even if its for 70K it will be FULL because then fans will be close to the pitch and that will be fantastic!!!!

becasue he is the symbol of juventus, and i daresay, some ardent fans probably think he's bigger than the club.
not seeing him perform well will drive away supporters to an extent.
But Del Piero can't be blamed for the lower attendance at all the other Serie A home games.

As bad as we are, even Lazio has a lower stadium attendance percentage of capacity. Not to mention that even clubs like Chievo, Empoli, etc., also have a lower percentage of filled seats even with their much smaller stadia.

well dont think that alex has anything to do with the attendances in the delli alpi..
i heard something like the full capacity of the new stadium is going to be only 40,000????

if thats true then its a real shame i think. juve has the biggest fan base for an italian team in the world.

40,000 dissapoints me big time.
there's got to be other ways of filling stadiums than reducing the capacity.
reduce the ticket price, have nude dancers on the pitch in the half time break or better yet...get 1 hooker for every 20 people in the stadium.
