The USA Tour was huge for them, as I got a chance to see my heroes play in Boston. I even went to the practice and had my picture taken with Nedved and got all of the stars' autographs.

it was christmas in july.

Anyway, I hope I wasn't too wordy for my first post.
My God!! You are sooooooo lucky!!

Don't think we can get Juve to visit Hong Kong....

BTW, welcome my US friend!:D

Meanwhile, Juventus director Antonio Giraudo has confirmed that the redevelopment of the Stadio Delle Alpi will see its 71,000 capacity cut.

"It will be a 40,000 seater arena," he revealed. "41,000 at the most."

It's probably going to be modeled after one of those newer EPL stadiums, where you can almost reach out and touch the pitch.

They usually only get around 40000 per game , anyway.

i still dont understand why it should be so small!!

EPL Clubs are going for bigger stadiums and juve's putting themselves way behind.

a 60,000 seater would be great. (even though juve filled 72,000 fans during the Real Madrid game last season)

30,000 is waaaaay too small.

Old Trafford's is Big, and the pitch is still very close to the stands.

Why dont juve just rebuild the Comunale !

Is that all that they're getting?!?!?!?!

It's tough to tell on TV.

Ah, memories.

This is where I had my first post, on my birthday, Sept. 16th :touched:

The thing is if juve are doing this it is for the good of the team and they'll get more money than before by doing it so it's ok

And 40 000 is fine. We usually don't get that many afterall.

I dont know people,,, i hope with all my soul that this will work.... but i think that the problem of delle alpi is that is too far from the ciy right?

It would be cool to have a stadium in the middle of the city, where everyne who is passing by could enter the satdium.

I was today in the espn latin forum... in the Italian soccer section. We were arguing a lot of juve posters vs milan posters.... then suddenly an inter fan appeared... he was very sad and full of anger... in one occation he sadi that he was very mad about juve fans.... when i asked why he said that it was because in the Milan derby were even more inter fans to see their team lose against milan,, and in almost match there are always a lot of inter fans to see inter lost in shame........... while in Juventus is always winning and winning and just winning and their fans never go to the stadium. He was crying that it was not fair.

I was in some way  because of that!.

maybe the new Stadium will bring in more fans. Its a shame to see empty stands every time. Thats why i prefer ESPN to show Juve's away games bcoz they have so many fans all over the world and empty stands at home.

its terrible.

IN the latin ESPN... the commentators always say that.. and its very shamefull.... they say that delle alpi is a ghost stadium.

I dont know how a shop and a museum will bring all those 20,000 fans that never come to the games........sincerely i dont know.

I just hope that juventus will always continue to win.... because there is a quote that say "you dont know what you have until you lose it".........

i hope that there will be always a winner juventus in turin... because if someday juventus start to lose and end in serie B, in that moment the people will realize what they had....

Well, most impt is that this new stadium is both for the fans and for the players.

Hopefull a smaller stadium with these stalls etc will make the fans feel better when they visit the stadium.

Also since the pitch will be nearer to the stands, it will create a better atmosphere for both fans and players. Honestly, i'd rather see a smaller, packed stadium where you can feel, hear and see the fans rather than a half empty giant of a stadium where the players look like they are a mile away and the voice of the fans seams distant.

Apart from this..... this redevelopment will cost a bomb. And in a world where money is so impt, i'm sure they have well calculated how it will be re-earned.

We should have some faith in the people planning this. the points that all of you have brought up are concers that every fan would think of. I'm sur these things have crossed their mind too.

:)

But when it will start=??¿

I found when it will start... It will be in June 2004.

The delle alpi will have a capacity of 40,000....41,000 at max.

The running Track will be removed, and the stadium will change its structure, and the Pitch will change its orientation (i dont know what this teamns).

Anyway... they said that Juventus will still be able to play in delle alpi in the process.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but here goes the BAAAD News!
In an interview Antonio Giraudo told;

"The new stadium will have a 41.000 seat capasity and is inspired from
the german stadiums"

No problem with the 41k capasity, but German stadiums NOOOOOOO!
The new German stadiums I've seen has this 2.5-3 meter wall along
the side lines.... What happened to the crap, "in the new stadium, U will B closer to the pitch than in San Siro"????

I really hope they don't build the new stadium like that...
It looks so awful ppl. sitting so high up, I guess it's just about selling
advertising-room!!! Having billboards that a 95 year old with caterax can see!!!

:fero:
