who thought this interview was a good idea?

Because he has been able to con mentally retard black rappers (waka flocka, Kanye etc) or OF whores like Amber Rose, to come out to support him to get black votes. So he figured, hey why not I try the same with black educated journalists? And while doing so, copy rhetorics a KKK leader, that should go down well, it worked with some of the rappers.

I do think it damn funny that Trump thought he could win favor with a hostile audience of black journalists by trying to out Kamala as an Indian who was late to trying to pull a Rachel Dolezal. That's just masterful level of cluelessness.
The level of coordination after the event (they showed snippets of articles showing Harris as Indian in the past on a big screen in Trump’s event, Alina Habba’s intro, Vance’s response, etc.) showed that they were planning for this. I think deep down his campaign really thought she’s pulling a Dolezal and they found a weak spot.

They did plan it, but mostly because they have nothing on her. The entire angle of their campaign was on Biden and that he was too old. Trump said as much during the NABJ meeting. There is very little they have to go on in terms of policy and even then, they don't want to go into details because they'll be confronted with Project 2025 and they've realised it's not popular.

I know a lot can happen, but right now I feel like this could be the largest victory for a presidential candidate in the last 30 years for Harris.

Considering she was at the back of the pack in the 2020 primaries, it'd be a great turnaround for her.

Her energy has been great and the Democrats have capitalized on the momentum.

But I still believe the biggest problem for Trump is simply that people are sick and tired of him. He has been non stop campaiging since 2015 and every speech is kind of the same. He says he'll be the bestest president ever and everything will be great. Not once has he gone into the details of how he would achieve this. At some point people realize that this guy is not really doing anything for them.

They could point out the fact that she didn’t show up, and drive it like a hammer? Instead they had to completely overshadow that fact with bullshit.
And I still think Trump will win. Turning out young people to vote with what happened in university campuses recently will be a challenge, and Bibi will surely do some nasty shit between now and November to force Harris’ hand.

:agree: they're experiencing Hillary syndrome right now imo

No way will it be the biggest win though, I can't see that.

My real worry though is certifying the results if Kamala wins.

Except she never said she would attend. What Trump stated was flat out false. And he can't hammer that point, because he's doing everything he can to avoid a debate with her. If he calls her out, she'll just set a date.

You can sense that Trump is down and people are ganging up on him. It's an ugly side of humanity that, once you are vulnerable, everyone who ever felt slighted by you will line up to kick you. But once you're down like that and people know they can penetrate the armor, there is no coming back from it.

She was invited. They could’ve said 2 candidates were invited and only one showed up?

You can kill it though. Don't hear much about Q anymore.
Aww, Q is pulling all the strings, baby. Just keeping it all on the down low is all.

Have you seen Kamala laugh?
Laffin' Kamala

lol man, I'd love to see her underwear when she wears short skirt.
Siamak, AI is your friend. It's pretty easy to re-render old videos of Kamala in a short skirt ... but with blonde hair.

There is kind of a profile. I mean, I think a lot of them have a great point that "Black voters" isn't a monolith. Sure you're naturally going to find different views of the world between people in a Chicago ghetto vs those who found a way to escape it for the Hollywood ghetto. But blacks, Asians, Latinos, whatever shouldn't be questioned simply because they don't fit a political preference stereotype like whiteys are granted.

But Trump's milkshake does seem to bring all the mental retard/crypto-nazi black rappers to the yard. I don't understand the mechanics of all that. But it feels very OJ Simpson to me... a way of achieving elite acceptance (or "whitey world" to some peeps) is to dissociate yourself as far as possible from all those nasty darkies in the hood 'cause you diff'ent than them. "I'm not one of those. I'm in the Playas Club now!"

It would be one thing if they made some form of an intellectual argument for their positions instead of just mental illness. Instead it shows up as just another thing to accessorize their personality with along with their Gucci boxer shorts. Then it's not so much real as part of the rebellious act.

The level of coordination after the event (they showed snippets of articles showing Harris as Indian in the past on a big screen in Trump’s event, Alina Habba’s intro, Vance’s response, etc.) showed that they were planning for this. You're right. This was a planned communication strategy. Someone actually thought that comparing Kamala to Rachel Dolezol was a way for him to earn credibility and affection from that audience.

She was invited. They could’ve said 2 candidates were invited and only one showed up?
Kamala would be smart not to show up to these things. The more she's away from Trump, the better. This way the focus is purely on Trump going off the rails and unhinged by himself, which is much harder to hide from than when there's a debate.

agree. In general when you have a momentum going for you it’s best to shut up until it fizzles out. I was just imagining a possible strategy from the Trump campaign.

Trump and his allies had a plan for how to hit Harris. Then he opened his mouth.

...
John Fredericks, a Trump-aligned conservative radio host, told POLITICO on Monday that the “personal attacks against Kamala Harris are really ill-advised and ill-placed, and have no upside in this campaign,” saying some Republicans’ recent DEI references were “stupid.”

“Certainly on the air, I’m not doing it,” Fredericks said. “All you’ve got to do is focus on the issues. Here’s a candidate that ran for president in 2020, and got beat by the fortune teller Marianne Williamson.”

...

“When you’ve got all the issues, you’ve got everything working to your favor, why are you going to use personal attacks?” Fredericks said. “They don’t work against Trump, and they’re not going to work against her.”

goddamn, she had to pick the most obnoxious people to be in the crowd behind her, didn’t she
Anyone going to rallies is obnoxious in his own way.

I understand Harris is kind of stooping down, because the political debate is so poor these days. But, even if he's a sleazebag, her speeches so far definitely do not have the statesmanlike qualities Obama's had. That was one eloquent motherfucker.
