It's funny how the arguments around tax rates have changed so drastically post-Reagan tax cuts for the wealthy in the 80s. The idea of even a percent or two hike is considered election suicide now.
it is absurd. A lot of people seem to have this mentality that any sort of tax increases is a massive encroachment on the personal freedoms of American citizens while similarly having expectations of government services to better than they are. These same people don't seem to understand why there is so much decline and social strife.

I was raised by people with that mentality and then I grew up.

I can somewhat understand the boomers having troubling shedding this mentality, they were raised post ww2 in an era where the US massively benefited from being the only major manufacturing power left standing, but fuck, times change. This isn't the same world that existed 50 years ago. A decade brings change that formerly took centuries.

It's so bizarre seeing Bloomberg running for President. Bloombito was mayor from pretty much the start of junior high school all the way through the end of my college years. This man wouldn't close schools for snow days even if it looked like Hoth outside. Good times :touched:

Fox News hosts are some kind of special. Tucker Carlson rooting for Russia over Ukraine now. Then, after inevitable backlash, he says he was joking. lol

Tucker Carlson is Patrick Bateman with a teleprompter. I wouldn’t be surprised if dead bodies pop up in his apartment. Guy is a grade A sociopath.

Smooth (enough) talking mofo looking to make a buck. When i see someone like him I don't believe he even believes what he says. Just a slightly clever, and completely shameless, worm making a luxury living with zero consideration for the damage his clown show causes. But he is no unicorn, popular media is stock full of people just as ruthless.

It's absurd to think your taxes are put to good use.
