"Mortar style fireworks," and I heard has containers as well. Apparently the trucks in both attacks were rented using the same app, Turo. Wouldn't be surprised if they're related.

Just heard about this. AI couldn't have come up with a better picture. It's perfect.

It ironically looks as staged as Trump's assassination photos. We are living in truth-stranger-than-fiction times.

Now some trucker in an 18 wheeler said he has a bomb in his truck in South Carolina and I-85 is completely shut down.

Our country is wild.
Kind of expecting more of it, really. Loose canons, conspiracy theory nut jobs, and vigilantes are going to rule the day, IMO.

It won't be a cold civil war gone hotter as many have been promising. But more like the domestic terrorists who kept the bombs going off during Northern Ireland's "Troubles" period. Timothy McVeigh would approve.

No doubt about it, IMO. MAGA is already involved in a bunch of infighting, and when it becomes clear Trump lied to them all or they don't get what they want, the far right is either going to take it out on themselves or America in general. That's when it becomes scary.

Oh, left vs right will matter less in the future vs rational vs insane.

We're bound to have our environmental terrorists, humanity haters, AI doomers, and the like just as we're gonna have "Mass Deportation Now" advocates who claim the H1-B Trump train isn't "pure" enough despite their votes and support.

The whole canadian economy is propped up by a crazy speculation inflated real estate market, largely due to huge influx ofmmigrants and foreign mone.
This sudden influx of mostly indian immigrants is also changing the cultural makeup of canadian society. And I yet to find a canadian whos happy about it, especially 1st and 2nd generation indians.
Australia is exactly the same, especially Melbourne & Sydney.

I think this is an interesting challenge to the concept of citizenship. On one side, the state's eroding duty to protect and prioritize its citizenry, and on the other the importing of people vastly different cutlurally and with strong lingering familial ties to the countries they hailed from.

It’s called people want cheap labor and a underclass to serve them, and the trade off is cultural de-homogenization. Then people get resentful when the underclass aspires beyond their role and becomes a threat or challenge.

It’s little different from why people send Murican money and jobs to China by buying from Amazon, Walmart, etc. 70-80% of their inventory is Chinese-made products. The former is government lead vs consumer lead, but consumers will hate the inflation of paying local fatasses to make things domestically. So they act incredulous at why their manufacturing jobs in town are disappearing as they gorge on $5/dress SHEIN fashion.

People go with “it’s the economy, stupid” and will sell out their own national interests for $6 iPhone cases.
