:agree: You just need to look at the debacle that is Thames water in the UK to see why public good should not be privatised. Are governments generally inefficient? Absolutely. Corporations who are only beholden to the shareholders with CEOs who have their pay linked on short term goals are a terrible alternative though.
Look at Texas right now. After the hurricane the power company flew in out of state linemen to repair the grid but instead of putting them straight to work they decided to negotiate wages and people in Houston still have now power.

Here’s where I disagree.

I don’t care much about arguments above about education or economics in the US.

But how come that I live in a continent, in a union, with more inhabitants than the US, but completely reliant on their support for our safety. And on China for our production, and before on Russia for our energy. It’s a disgrace.

Therefore, the sooner we get a American president who says things as they are: American taxpayers are paying for Estonian safety, the better it is for us. We need our own defence industry and not getting nurtured by the USA.

Small nuance here I think that Trump uses words to scare Eurocrats when he said ‘if they don’t pay invade them’, I don’t expect him to actually go that far. But the last thing this continent needs it getting nurtured. Besides that his words had effect, countries suddenly did meet the 2% GDP.
I don't think a forced and rushed militarization effort is going to have the outcome that you think it will.
